May I know where can I exchange SGD over at genting? What are the rates over there?

As a casino destination, this is evidently not a problem. I don't expect good rates.

Rates at Casino Cage is a little better than the money changers at the Highlands but definitely not better than SGD money exchange rate.

I have shared before why you might want to change at Casino Cage:

1. Casino Cage offers a exchange service (not really a Money changer service) at minimum exchange amount of 3k RM. Rates based on Forex updated every Thursday.

2. You give them SGD they give you either in E Credits (withdrawable as cash via Genting ATM) or Cash Warrant (change to Chips at table). Your SGD will be sealed in a bag with a matching receipt to claim back the exact same note and serial no.

3. You can claim back the SGD in full within the same day by 2359hrs (at Non VIP cage) or within 7 days 2359hrs (at VIP cage provided you're Gold card and above).

4. If you do not claim back within the expiry, it will be encashed as Genting property.

5. No commission charge.

Frankly, I think it is a bad idea not to have a gaming budget before you reach there.

Just set an amount that you are comfortable with losing without the need to make drastic restitution like borrowing from frens/neighbours/colleagues, pawn items etc.

Spread out this amount to the no of nights and set that to be your daily gaming budget. Once you hit that limit, be disciplined and stop playing.

Just rem that you are playing for enjoyment and entertainment and not to get rich. If you have the mindset, even if you lose, you would not be too distraught. And if you do win, take it as a bonus and treat your loved ones to a meal or buy something to treat yourself.

Last week my friend a silver card holder was allowed to enter Maxims Gold upper from Hollywood's entrance. No need gold or higher card holder to accompany in. However, she is not allowed to redeem the 8GP food voucher at Hainan Express. She is allowed to redeem using GP or cash.

I do recall last time IR have a campaign where Premium Bank Card holders can get sponsored into the IR for a day. Maybe this campaign have been carried forward to the new Maxim's Gold Club (upper)?

Or your friend was invited in on a one-off basis by the Casino?

hi. from First World Hotel. u go out lobby. turn LEFT.

there got 3 escalators that goes to SkyAvenue

once u go up to the "main area"

turn RIGHT. then walk AROUND.

u will see 2 money changers behind.
the rates is quite bad de. but doesn't matter unless u changing large quantity. if u changing $1k SGD, then no big difference

if u changing $20k sgd and above. then theres a significant difference

For gambling at casino, have to set a bankroll. How much you bring for gambling how many days you in genting how many times you wanna play per day. Divide your bankroll into many parts of smaller bankroll. If you lose your bankroll for a gaming session stop playing.

1. I see that the system does not allow booking for Sept yet. Roughly how ahead in advance can we start booking rooms?

2. Is Resorts hotel accessible to the amenities like casino and shopping mall? Only stayed at First World Hotel in 2017 and partner complained that Tower 3 needs to walk very far to Sky Avenue. I see the map it seems that Resorts Hotel needs to walk even further. Also, are the rooms good?

#2 Resort hotel is now like the forgotten child of Genting. In term of accessibility, I would say it is probably worse. Of cos, if you know how to walk, there are short cuts but the distance to Sky Avenue (tail end) is probably at least twice the distance from Tower 3.

The rooms are definitely better than FWH and more spacious. Of course, be prepared to pay more too.

If you want to go to Genting, then be prepared to walk. To me, Tower 3 to Sky is already a very short walk.
