Tooping up is easy, just need to install the hotlink app and topup using credit/debit card. Last month, they have a great promo, 10RM (or 15) FOR 64GB.

Yeah...with Hotlink, also it's free 1GB each on Sat's & Sun's...for life. But hv to top up min RM5 every 50 days to avoid termination of the line...u can also top up online.

So far I always buy one time and throw. Never do topup before.

1. To do Hotlink topup, need to buy which type of Malaysia SIM card from seller ICC on qoo10 ? Must be specific telco?

2. These promo like RM 10 for 64 GB is valid until used up or for how long ?

3. BTW, this kind of Malaysia SIM card can still use when come back to Singapore ?

Thanks.

SG Maybank issued ATM card withdrawal in Malaysia ATM has no service charge fees right?

Sent from Mercedes-Benz E250 using GAGT

Both Maybank-SG's & CIMB-SG's issued atm cards dun charge withdrawal fees when used @ their respective owned ATM's only in Malaysia.

Best SGD-RM conversion rate for ATM-withdrawal is via CIMB card and 2nd is Maybank...but still best rate is via cimb-sg to cimb-my transfer... it's better even compared to the best SG money changer rate.

3) Maxis Hotlink by default comes with free international call roaming - is able to receive sms and voice calls in SG. For data roaming in Singapore u need to subscribe to RM10/day - all done via Hotlink app.

Thanks. So to topup Hotlink must buy Maxis SIM card I suppose ?

Hmmmm. Since can receive SMS, then if I have bal remaining, I use it to create Grab or Food panda account ? No need the data roaming since I can use home wifi to order. :s34:

I hv nvr purchased b4 via online for foreign SIM card - but I think only for Hotlink FAST version u will get the every Sat & Sun free data...not sure if u will get the same version via online as i bought mine @ shop in Malaysia.

As for Grab or Foodpanda, i hv serious doubt it's valid for the SG outlets? More likely u can use it in Malaysia? Anyway, wud be interesting if u can share yr experience here after u hv tried 😁...

Mine is also buy n throw one. Just that i often overshoot the data limit. Then i top up. Anyway it comes with 5RM inside, so still ok.

1. I just buy form by usual seller in Qoo10. Telco Maxis.

2. Promo expire already i think. Dont think there expiry date.

3. Never use in SG.

i cant get why it is a concern regarding simcard n exchg rates!

not that i hv unlimited cash but if one willing to go up mountain after travelling so many hours and is concerned about simple thing like simcard n exchg rates, one better dont walk into the casino. because the outcome inside most of the time will make these concerns look small.

I also don't see why its of a concern that we are discussing such issues in this thread? Last thing i see this is a thread for Genting FAQ not Genting CASINO FAQ. :s22::s22::s22:

:) hmmm this logic is rather warped. It's almost like saying that of we drive a Bentley, we shouldnt be concerned with parking charges, that it is "third world" (mentioned by another bro) of us to concern myself with finding the most competitive (cheaper) means of going about spending every dime in a manner that we deem to be of the greatest value by our own standards, 1st world or 3rd world.
