Genting FAQ - Part 3

Before festive season, I usually reach YongPeng at 4pm, and 5pm MY customs, and 5:30-6pm Tuas, and Tampines before 7-7:30pm.

Today, 5:30 left YongPeng, and 7pm at MY customs (change shift timing), and reach Tampines at 8:45pm.

The jam was caused by the lorries and long-trailers, as the road were shared among them and coach bus.
Once the trailers cleared inspection, the coach buses started to move out fast.

The bus drivers said, the lorries mostly carries Durians and PreFab concrete walls for BTO/constructions.

Haha guess we leave n reach sg same time. Coz I also around 9pm reach golden mile yesterday

If take 12pm bus ,most likely clear sg customs 8+pm?

Just went genting n return yesterday. I book first world for 18 - 20, n I took 17 night coach up, reach around 4+am n still can't check in as too early. Saw from their self check in kiosk, earliest is 6am if got room. So around 6am, I try their mobile check in coz can earn 1 gp, but still no room. So go casino. Around 8+ or 9+, saw from genting app, got room number already. So went down to scan e qr code for room key. But at e kiosk, e person say take card better as scare later phone can scan, so end up took card key. So for those who reach earlier next time, can try this.

N also, I only book coach up n never book for return. So reach there n go find. I took Sri maju. So found e aunt at e bus interchange. She will be sitting near e elsacator going up to first world. I see from easy booking, from genting to sg, is $45sgd, that day I buy from e aunt at genting, is $80rm. So it almost cheaper by half e price.

Think need to depend whether got jam or not. Like yesterday when leaving genting time, I got check from genting to sg, it show 4hr 30 min, end up, I also reach sg around 9pm.

Is the 18f makan good? I saw some post about a pool at the 18f.

food good or bad is subjective

i prefer the pre covid high tea set

just be mentally prepare is jam jam jam now till end of school holiday

many are clearing leave so nearest place is drive in malaysia be it JB malaka port dickson ipoh...

can clear SG customer by 8pm or earlier is a bonus imo if back via bus from genting

Landslide was north-east of genting.. our route is south-east of Genting.
Both are key routes, others sides are too mountainous..

7 is landslide
5 is Premium Outlet
9 is Genting
1 is KL-Genting route.

7-4 route is cut, the northern Malaysians (ipoh/penang) need to use 1-4-5-9 to go Genting. so will jam abit

2248hrs cleared thru SG immigration n now on my way to lavender mrt.

took almost 3 hours to clear thru both checkpoint.

good luck to those travelling by coach. b prepared for jam n u b good.

can i check if we need to scan passport at the kiosk after mobile check in? as i help my family member to book for the hotel room, so wondering if they can just log in my account on their genting app and get the room key without me being there.

There's not much detail whether you are providing your family member your account info for check in, nor whether your family member is a member as well for getting the 2nd card key for the app check in.
