Its my first time staying at FWH WCR for 4 nights, usually when staying RH or GG, after 3 nights just need to go down to the counter to change card.

any bros can advise what is the process for FWH WCR? Kind of regret booking FWH after seeing all the complaints about long waiting time and non existent counter helpdesk.
i also never stay more then 3 nights, but i got see ppl need to go to counter and reactivate the card. Need to find less crowded timing to go do this thing bah.

I stayed for 7 nights.

My initial booking was for 4 nights complimentary room. During booking of room, system somehow spilt the booking confirmation into 3 nights and 1 night. First time I encounter this. Called hotline and got them to book for me. End up there is also 2 bookings - 3 nights and 1 night.

Subsequently, I added 3 more nights and paid with GP. So total 7 nights same room type Y5 deluxe.

In the past, checkin at kiosk will register for the entire 7 nights. But this time it allows me to checkin for 3 nights only. Asked the kiosk assistant and he said now the kiosk can only checkin max 3 nights. I have to go to counter to extend for the remaining nights if I want to continue same room.

Happened I need to change room as I got a room at B1. Room number 09xx. I thought it was level 9 . Got the Q number at 1pm. My Q was called about 5pm. This was on off-peak Mon.

My first booking was checkin 19 Jan checkout 23 Jan. Second booking was checkin 23 Jan checkout 26 Jan.

Processed change of room and did the extension of my room to checkout 26 Jan. Paid the tax for the 4 nights (tax for first 3 nights paid at kiosk).

Checked with them on key activation and was told by 22 Jan morning need to go counter to extend key activation. And 25 Jan need to extend again.

22 Jan went to get Q number. Activation of key is separate Q from room. But even then, each customer may take upto 10 minutes. Waited for 1 hr.

23 Jan I needed a second room key for my friend. Again had to Q and go counter. Waiting time about 3 hrs. But I could extend my room key by another day to 26 Jan so no need to go activate on 25 Jan. But they keep saying I did not pay my tax in full. Had to explain I paid 3 nights at kiosk and 4 nights at counter on same day.

But my friend's room card did not work and we realised only late at night. So 24 Jan had to get Q to activate the card properly. Again waited 1 hr. Again they said I did not pay tax in full 🙄.

Each time go counter to activate card, I had to show my member card and take photo. I get extra key for my friend they also took photo of me. Then photo of my friend.

So this inconvenience is probably to wipe out selling of rooms or passing rooms to other people.

u r quite right abt rwg forcing rm sellers to give up due to the troublesome nature.

But they should really do something about the Q.

1 hr waiting time for key activation on non-peak days.

And since need to go to counter to show face every 3 days, why restrict the kiosk checkin to 3 days. The Q for room matters is 3 to 4 hrs compared to 1 hr for key activation. And somehow their system seems cannot see spilt payment for taxes and they had to dig to see the payments.

And in case people say go when there is less Q. Firstly must go when the system Q is in place. Then can roam about while waiting. If go late at night, no Q number issued. Need to stand in line. And I think there is no separate Q for room key activation.

Secondly, FWH where got not crowded period. Only have crowded, very crowded and super crowded.

If at the point of check in at the kiosk, the machine allows the merging of bookings for the 2+2 or 3+1 nights, the issued key card will be valid for the 4 nights without the need for reactivation on the 3rd night. The merging requires the 2 bookings room type to be from the same tower. You need to confirm with customer service whether both bookings are WCR1 or WCR2.
If the room type are totally different, it just simply means check out from first booking and check in to new booking on the 2nd or 3rd night.
No one knows what your booking conditions are like in the first place to give proper response.

Sorry ah, side track, i got 2 nights + 1 night booking for Tower 1 WCR.
Can i check in together so i do not need to switch room ?
Must do in in Kiosk or i can do it in RWG app ?

heading up in earlier apr

is it ok to book the hotel room 1 day earlier and request for a late check-in around 6-9am the next day so I don't need to wait for the check-in at 12pm?

If the kiosk or app allows the same room/tower type to merge, it will show up in the check in process of either method. If the merging didn't show up, the only way of merging will still be counter service after check in at your most convenient time.

You may do that but do inform the customer service to put a note of the late check-in time in case they release the room. However, counter check-in during the early morning is simply queuing and may take up a long time since kiosk is not available in the said timing.

When you did the booking, did it spilt into different booking number of 3 nights each ?

Anyway back on old topic of cancellation of room. For those who have host dedicated to you in your apps. You can just contact your host if you want cancel your trip room booking. Don't need email etc. I end March actually going for 9 days 8 nights, due to some job arrangements, I cancel my trip by contacting my host thru WhatsApp, and he did it for me in less then half an hour. If you have dedicated host, need arrangements for hotel, just contact your host. But they only able to settle Crockford, Highland, genting grand and resort hotel, fwh they not able to, that's what my host told me, but cancel trip for hotel, all hotel they can do it for you

Hi Givan, may I know how long did those 2 queuing took? Thanks.
The first time I waited about 20mins to half hour. The 2nd time I got the queue tickets for platinum and key card reactivation. Both have 7 people in front of me and took almost the same time for 2 numbers to be called. Time taken also about 20-30 mins.

Anyway back on old topic of cancellation of room. For those who have host dedicated to you in your apps. You can just contact your host if you want cancel your trip room booking. My host initially helped me booked fwh superior deluxe for 31 March. Yesterday I see there's comp room available for Crockfords for the same date and requested upgrade via my host. My host helped me cancel the initial booked fwh room and rebooked a Crockfords room.

my experience kiosk cannot do merging check in if not eg check in 1-apr check out 6 apr in transaction ID

need staff overwrite
