Durians are available everywhere in Gohtong Jaya, though the durian carnival at the resort had already ended in Jan.
Some of the “Self Check-in Kiosks” may be faulty (unable to scan our passport). If there is no joy after a couple of tries, move on to the next available kiosks. Checking in via those kiosks was a breeze. However, if you are using credit card to pay (for the tourism tax, etc), make sure you remember your card pin number.
Hotel key card are personalized and CAN ONLY ACCESS to your level. If you need to meet someone at a different level, try schedule it at the lobby instead.
redONE mobile connection in WCR, and around the resort was seamlessly good.
Breakfast Buffet at the Hard Rock Cafe @ Ion Majestic is no longer available. Taxi fare from 1st World Hotel taxi stand to Ion Majestic is RM$30. “Van” or 6 or 7 seater is RM$60.
Opted not to visit Hoverland at Ion Majestic as it has been foggy for the past few days.
I think the complimentary cable car tickets, 8 per months, are only available from Monday to Thursday, as it had disappeared from our Genting app when we visited GPO on Friday.
There is no limit as to how many guests you can tap-in for the cable car ride using your Genting Reward Card so long you have enough Genting Points to spare.
Most of the eateries at the Genting Premium Outlet are only open from 10.30 or 11am. Muhibah Kitchen was the only opened when we were there around 10am.
Buffet Dinner spread (RM$138/pax) at the Park Avenue Lounge is quite limited. Topping up of dishes was slow too. Frankly, food wasn't good. But... the staff was super professional and friendly. Brighten up your day, any day!
Payment at Park Avenue Lounge is totally cashless, like Laughing Fish, Outdoor theme park and some shops in the Premium Outlet, . They do not accept cash at all.
There are still touts stationing beside the escalators outside SkyCasino. No sign of money-changers and people asking for meals inside the casino any more.
The new lifestyle casino was pleasantly nice, but only sparsely populated with slot machines. More machines (only older ones) are now available towards the rear of the old casino (old IR), near the escalator down to Highland Gold Club.
Grand-Jackpot on Dragon Link slot machines was very close to RM$28 millions yesterday afternoon.
East Court Restaurant is seemingly closed. The whole place had been partitioned.
Food at Absolute Thai wasn't nice.
Free shuttle service (2 in number) to Mushroom Farm Restaurant is located outside 1st World Hotel Starbucks, behind the taxi staging area. Queue is generally short, approximately between 10 to 20 pax. Wait is short, & the journey is roughly 5 mins. Food is alright, and the price is good too.
The “Storage Locker”, located at SkyAvenue Complex level 2, outside SkyCasino, charges RM$25, RM$35, & RM$55 per 24 hours for small, medium and large sizes respectively.
The Pavilion Hall, beside the Indoor Theme Park, is still on, until April.
