i kinda like the thought of living in rural japan
laidback little town where everyone knows everyone
but getting work is a problem
cannot be everyday 1-2hr travelling to nearby city work and back

if you want to live in rural japan, something not much people talk about is the creepy crawlies. You have to be comfortable with living and sleeping with all sort of insects.

The rural Japanese don't even like city Japanese to stay in their community. Let alone foreigners.

Singapore is the closest thing to living in heaven on earth.

Once you lived or travelled enough in other countries, you will realize this truth.

probably semi retire there by staying long stay (> 2 months) per trip.......not interested in working there unless its to get the biz visa for long stay. if so then do some reshipping gig probably.......

But go Malaysia stay for a while, then you will realize that the Singapore premium is worth it

Also, Malaysia is not really 3x cheaper. If you consume same SG quality of goods/food/restaurant, it is only 20% cheaper.
