No. There are loads of retards "giving" away their NRIC details on telegram. Let internet strangers take photo of the IC while holding their IC next to their face. A while back, some hacker release a deluge of these photos. .

Why people do it? Who knows... Maybe they wanted to borrow money and are desperate / stupid enough to do as the scammers say....
