When I was approaching Sec 2, one of my female classmates from another class was molested by a male math teacher. We knew the girl, behaved like an ah lian, deliberately altered her school skirt to above her knees and her uniform was tight. The police came to the school, arrested him and he was never to be seen again. Back then, I was the school prefect and through my monitoring role, I got to see the behavior of students on a large scale. I always sensed she wasn't innocent and I suspected she tempted him. At that age, she was already very flirty, and provocative, as if to get male attention.

This begs the question. Why didn't any of the FEMALE teachers discipline her for flouting the dress code?
They just stood by and watched her parade around in a short skirt and tight uniform? Pathetic.

I believe the form teachers told female students not to alter their skirts, no makeup, no tight upper blouses. However, if the student is stubborn and defiant, over a period of time, the teacher will sooner or later give up.

have you seen the prices tuition centre and agency shelling out for current MOE teachers to do 1-1 coaching during exam period, usually start at 80 for primary the lowest and it goes a heck of a lot higher. if you are industrious, you can stand to gain alot, plus their connect plan keep stacking as they get older, got bonuses also

eh not sure why peeps so shocked got educators that also can be asswipe people? in the past only i can recall incidents involving underage piak, systemic racism/homophobia, corruption, etc so this while disturbing only proves its nonsense to put a group of people on a pedestal

oh trust me ... educators can be the worst and some really abuse their position of power when it comes to dealing with children.

I was under a teacher (discipline mistress no less) who order students to take off their pinafores and stand in their underwear outside the classroom.

It's so many decades since I left school but my stomach turns every single time I think of her. The way she dealt with primary school students is disgusting ... total utter abuse of power.
