Want to pretend be high SES live in condo, order delivery but make life so difficult for deliveryperson...knn.

My cousin's condo also banned food deliveries to go inside. But at least the whole condo knows which guailan member of the management did that. Don't assume that all condo residents support management's doings. In his condo the residents don't talk to the management one, it's that bad, the relationship.

In all probability, the condo council members don't rely on food deliveries. It's not a ruling that comes from the residents, but those on the council.

On the contrary, HDB flats are community properties sold under lease agreements that contain an assortment of rights that fall short of full ownership. This legal void leaves residents of HDB units with a great deal of limitations over their rights; more so than condo residents who own their homes.

Another point, I don't think many will allow it because they want to maintain a high ses condo image, unless at the guardroom there's a room or food rack facing away from the entrance so can camouflage.

AGMs are usually poorly attended owing to apathy. Attendance tends to surge only when there is a significant increase in maintenance charges, news of a possible en bloc sale or when several homeowners have an axe to grind with the management council. Some members serve only to advance their own agendas.
The residents deserve the MC they voted in.

dun blame the MA. They only doing what MC demands.

next "higher power" residents can turn to is NC. But NC most prob filled with MC people + paul lampards seeking to expand their private sector ventures by being chummy and Photo Op with MPs.

stay landed. Zero problems.

Most residents new to condo living yearn for the private swimming pool, gym, tennis courts, round-the-clock security, landscape gardens etc., but have no idea of the cost and hard work that goes into maintaining these facilities. The council enacts laws because residents voted for these rulings; the problem is that AGMs are usually poorly attended, so the decision is seldom a reflection of the wishes of the majority.

So do condo as well isn’t it? Why not buy landed and you can do what you want. Within the legal guidelines set by NEA or LTA

Blame the security also no use... the one enacted this rule likely the MCST. Don't clamp the security loses his job, clamp, the delivery rider earnings gone. Too bad.. Higher powers at play here and they're hiding behind their titles.
There’s no “likely” … no one else can.

There are MCs who will throw their MA under the bus when there is blowback though. Then depending on situation MA may see opportunity to throw whoever under the bus tasked to enforce the order from the top.

I mentioned before got this case came up in the news about whole bunch of ~10 residents’ cars 1 shot all kenna clamp because can’t-remember-the-reason (indiscriminate parking or 2nd cars never pay season or something), MA act on MC’s orders to eradicate the problem once and for all + had to T-loan clamps from elsewhere (typically an estate has 2-3 clamps) to carry out this enforcement exercise … end up residents backlash, MC throw “overzealous” MA under the bus and residents voted to terminate them.

And then there was this PDPC case where the chairperson was in the security Whatsapp group with the MA and security team where the chairperson demanded the footage of an incident, the guard 乖乖 give the footage to the chairperson in Whatsapp, the chairperson go and GVGT the video online and tio reported to PDPC … MC try to throw MA under the bus, MA try to throw security under the bus :s13: End up security tio warning and ordered to appoint a DPO (which they didn’t have at the time), MA escaped unscathed, only the MC tio fined. I warned Auntie Wendy about this since her estate no security and she as chairlady like to ownself extract ownself her estate’s CCTV footage post online … any report to PDPC she got no one to even try to throw under the bus.

That’s why buy condo also need to meet and find out who is running the MSCT before buying the condo.

MA will defend MC (ricebowl issue) and MC is the god of the Condo.

The people who are most buay gam with MA is usually the security guards and they spill the most things outta their loose lips one. ;)

I have seen couriers try to chat up the maids, use the washrooms by the pool, hang around to eat their lunch or make phone calls within my condo's premises. I don't mind, but other residents may have issues with that.

I'm hardly at home, but am quite sure some of them do. We are actually ok if they need to use the common bathroom too. Nature call lei, mybfd... :(

My place is only one block. So these guys do not need to search for the block. Cannot imagine those projects with > 7 blocks and still need access card to take the elevator. These residents should be graceful lei. Why make the poor fella carry your food and walk around in the hot sun looking for the block. That's why I wrote before: if they do not allow the delivery guys to ride their bikes in, then they should also take the initiative to walk to the main guardroom and collect the food themselves. Else, don't stay in a condo and give condo dwellers a bad name. Go live in a landed if they will. :(
