Good budget ssd recommendation?

I'm a Samsung 960 pro user (if you need evidence, I did post in this forum before but you have to find it yourself haha), this ssd for my mother laptop

Haha, my bad. I'm using 960 pro too, thus the recommendation :s13:

In that case probably can get Crucial, Intel, WD green or Samsung SSDs. Used these brands in the past and present and so far so good.

You can check the driver version from Windows control panel

NVMe driver 2.1 can cause bad dpc latency spike (storport.sys) that was a trending issue reported on online communities that's addressed in v2.2

my benchmark ard 500 up and down for mx300, cheap and good.
