Hi guys, looking to find a good and decently priced power bank, preferably with a capacity of 10,000mAh or more. I was looking at the Xiaomi 16,000mAh power bank which retails for SGD$29.99, and was also wondering if I will be able to find Xiaomi products in any local Singapore electronics store. I'm not big on ordering online, and prefer getting it at a store myself. Any suggestions on other power banks? Share your experiences please! TIA! :)

P.S. Budget of SGD$100

I am using Anker 6000 slim and Anker E3 10000. For the 6000 slim I use with a micro usb to lightning adapter, compact. For the 10000 E3 I use with a normal Lightning cable. Both are reliable. I had the 6000 slim for over a year plus 5 months and still quite lasting. Just recently bought the E3 from Amazon via freight forwarder. Both can be found from market place sellers.

I've used many types, and I can conclude the following:

Xiao Mi PB - best bang for value, long lasting and holds charge really well. 16000 is $30 excluding shipping, bought 8 for friends prior. And many many 10400 for friends, at least >200 pieces. All loved it.

Yoobao PB - china brand, but is so well known that china replicas appears. More expensive compared to Xiao Mi, but it holds it's power and discharges as good as XiaoMi. Using the 15,600 YB665. It's good.

All others so far I tried, really sucked to the max. I have an Anker 5000 mAh. Don't really find it fantastic, but it's a backup to my 10,400 and 15,600.

Have been using my Yoobao 13,000 mAh YB651 power bank since NS cos of long outfields. Until today it still lasts really long and can recharge my phone efficiently. Holds charge very well too.

so many powerbanks and clones of it nowadays, really spoilt for choice, duno which is the real deal, and hard to test (time factor) which can withstand the most charges.

Xiaomi is great value for money. However, the form factor is not there for iPhone.

Waiting for this one :s12::s12::s12:

What kind of form factor u talking about??

Appearance wise the design is good for xiaomi pb
Weight wise and one hand handling xiaomi got it all covered.
I can charge my ip6 and hold the 10400mah pb with my 2 finger easily without much effort(be it calling or typing) . Compact size with high capacity.
Those bigger one like the currently 16k by xiaomi is too big so when u want to use the phone u will face difficulty.

So what kind of Form factor u Looking For??

For a good pb not only the capacity and hold charge more important is the ease of use when charging.
If not no point having a portable powerbank which is bulky and when u want to use the phone u have difficulty holding the phone and the pb at the same time.

Xiaomi 10400mah kind of form factor, for some 3-4 years ago I had already bought my own Sanyo/Panasonic batteries to build my own. However, I rarely brought them out due to the thickness and square shape that does not allow me to stack behind the phone.

I find that the form factor of the Anker 6000Slim allows me to stack together with the iPhone 6, 5 and 5s plus being put together in the front pocket. The round edges also play a part.

The above is just my personal preference so ur mileage may varies.

Problem solved if you use a long cable and leave the powerbank in your bag or pocket instead.

no problem. I don't like to use a bag at times. I cannot fault u for not being able to appreciate the design of a product. Having another cable than the build in cable is an extra bulk. It is as if I buy the iPhone 6 for the elegant design and look but jailbreak it, install launcher make it work like an android and put on a waterproof bulky case.
