Yea its pretty old. Been there a few times before. But steak not that great imho. Its more for the nostalgia

hougang central western just beside hougang plaza. one of best budget steak around. very prominent store as it's facing the passageway.

just tried it last week....had their usda prime rib eye

bread appetizer

they recommended no sauce! just the seasoning on it and it melts in your mouth superbly awesome! last i had was mortons cant compare directly as cooking style is different.....but i dare say its worth the money

really very hard to find. dont know whether it's the quality of meat or the way they cook.

just cant find a steak house in sg that satisfies me. and i've tried quite a few, gordon grill, prive, mortons, cut.

it just tastes different from the steaks overseas. anyone else feels the same?

the reason is ingredients....as said the steak comes from overseas....it will definitely not be able to compare with coming from the place of origin....when was in aussie....even the most basic steak house taste better than any in sg already and best of all its cheaper than astons

a well aged steak tastes very different. once you tried a proper aged steak, you will never want normal steaks again.

That's not really true. I've had quite a few mediocre steaks in Australia.

I like the char grilled steak at dan ryans. Nice chao ta smell with juicy center.

And i'm actually leabing towards steak republic at waterloo coffeeshop for my budget steak fix rather than astons
