All of you are correct. It was a combination of brain fart+ bad coverage area. Ran another speedtest at home and voila. Life is good. Thanks guys...i will wipe the egg off my face now.

Lol, I'm guessing that you aren't local right? You did mention you came from overseas. So you probably are not familiar with the networks here. In anycase enjoy your phone man. Beware though, 3G speeds here are craptastic in many places, so don't expect too much.

Actually the reason why I decided to get my phone now is that I just received this.

I ordered it 2 weeks ago, hoping to hear some news about the singapore release but now that it's here without a phone to cover...

Looks nice, are there cut-outs for the power button and volume rocker?

You mean the sunny savers one I got? There are no cut-outs for the power and volume rocker. I don't have the phone yet but I believe you might have to press harder.

Aesthetics wise it's actually better looking than the pics. The matte texture and color looks very professional. The smooth part is a little too glossy for my liking but it's not too bad.

The screen protector it comes with seems like it can cover the whole screen to the edges. Also for some reason, it came slightly curved like it's supposed to fit on the screen's curvature but I suppose it's just some plastic contraction.
Still it's one of those cheapo clear ones. I'll see how it goes when my phone arrives.

Hopefully it sticks well at the edges. Don't really like the SGP oleophobic protector because it doesn't extend to the edges.

No I am not in Tokyo. I didn't see any Galaxy Note yet. Maybe I wasn't looking for it anyway.

On another note, I have seen like 3 different adverts for the Galaxy Nexus on TV already. The intensity of the campaign is no smaller than how the telcos here are advertising for their phones, e.g. Docomo for Samsung S2 LTE.

Can probably see them on google japan youtube channel?
