Sigh still no call from SGBest... now my last hope is that they will call me on Monday to say that they will deliver my phone. Argh, the wait is excruciating.

Was that the one with the mother and her daughter using the face unlock?

Anyway smartphone ads are pretty rare on SG tv... although I seldom watch tv so maybe there are for a few?
actually, if u watch EPL on mio Stadium, you'll be blasted with Samsung smartphones ads. Now they pretty hiong on the Galaxy Note commercials. Perhaps that will be the channel to look out for when the Galaxy Nexus is coming..

Hey I just saw a TV ad for Galaxy Nexus on Japan TV. Why they don't do this in SG???

Ya! I am in Seoul now and I'll been watching all the ads for GN and other local brands. Ghee, the technology here is so impressive. They even have a motion detection smartphone - Vega Sky. Their ads are so cool! I guess each brands has their own selling point. GN - ICW and face detection, Vega Sky - motion detection, etc..

I think I will stick to my NS till LTE is fully roll out in Sg. :s22:

u guys got the volume bug? Barely 2 days using and i already got it........in fact, i don't think that's a bug but a deficiency. it happens about 99% of the time when it switched from 3G/HSPA to GPRS....

what's even bugging me is that apparently, the galaxy nexus that we got from sgbuy is apparently from UK which is having the yakjuux build that different from the 'official' yakju build from google itself. A google engineer has confirmed that the yakjuux build is samsung's build and only the yakju build is from google directly and will receive the OTA update directly from google. As such, our phone will not be receive the OTA update from google at this moment. You cannot even apply the patch manually via fastboot or recovery since the signiture for the patch is different from our build...

Yah...i am pretty pissed about this whole debacle. First, our local carrier keep on delaying till 2012, then the only GSM version of the phone that got is a puny 16gb version and now this........i like my galaxy nexus hardware and ice cream sandwich is tasty but this thing is leave some bad taste in my mouth...

Guess i'll have to rely on the devs and cyanogen on any sort of fix for the volume bug as i am pretty much out of google's reach and knowing samsung......they probably won't release the patch EVER..

peace.

I'm on Starhub, so currently no such issues.

I'm not sure about the signatures thingy, is it a simple edit of build.prop?

I did receive an OTA update on my first or second boot however.

Nothing wrong with his decision. If one doesn't want to root, he shouldn't be forced to root to fix a problem that should not have come with this phone. This case should have been handled properly, why the heck are there two different builds for the firmware? Now google cannot patch both version of the phone for god knows what reason.

Huh? I thought you said you were using VillainRom? It should be based on ITL41F which comes with the volume bug fix?
