I am just lazy to re-install and re-customise with each install of custom ROM. Since the ROM has been out for quite some times, I guess it is stable enough for day to day use.
With your inputs, I have second thought now: if there is hardware issue within the first week or so, it is easier to send it back to service with the original ROM. Not sure if Samsung will service a phone with custom ROM...
It's not the Rom I'm worried about, it's the hardware. Reason being is u can't test the phone 100% at the point of buying, the most u can plug in yr sim, make some test calls, look at the screen and the exterior and that's it. Then it's when u really use yr phone then u might find faults cropping up so having a custom rom means u should flash back to stock first before sending it in. I don't know if they will take in custom roms without voiding your warranty, some say they've done it before, but it's whether u want to take the risk of voiding the warranty on a brand new phone.
