I don't game but generally yes s2 flies through operations because it's on a very matured version of android, ics is still very buggy as in the sense of the OS, however I'm not interested in anything slapped with the maker's skin, such as touchwiz or motorblur, I prefer pure google experience, therefore nexus apparently is the better selection. to each his own, s2 doesn't appeal to me, therefore I sold it after few weeks of usage.
Nice....basically anything else you don't like sucks. :D So anyone using anything else are idiots by default. :D

any ex-users of s2 who jumped to nexus? how's the feedback? my hand itchy..hehe

nexus with pure google is the best... the only drawback is the lack of sd card slot.. other than that.. no regret with nexus after giving my s2 to my wife..

Get the original 2000mAh from eBay, quite a number of Korean sellers there. Fantastic battery, easily last the day, adds very minimal thickness (most soft/TPU cases will continue to fit), and retains the NFC capability.

If i use the 2000mah original battery with the provided battery cover, do i need to switch battery cover when i use back the stock battery? It seems inconvenient if i have to carry an additional battery cover when i go out. Can anyone advise please?

Thank you.

without regards to software, s2 is definitely a better phone. but then again s2 can run stock ics also not much difference, cept for the hardware button.

end of the day, little things like a slightly better front cam(for camwhores), expandable memory will be little things that you'll miss and it all adds up together.. kinda miss s2 for its thin profile and slick-er design

my 2 cents

technically you do not have too but you run a slight risk of the stock battery coming off loose as there will be a gap between the stock battery and the 2000 maH battery cover

I read somewhere that Nexus's chipset makes use of the dual Channel Memory thingy, does S2 and Note uses that too? Can someone clarify?

i'm on aokp b23. whenever anyone sends me vcard thru SMS, i see the attachment icon in the conversation, but that particular line is blank.
If i open the same SMS database using handcent, I can retrieve the vcard.

Anyone facing the same issue?

Also, facing the same contact.apk FC when attempting to manual dial digits in phone app. See many ppl complain about this in the aokp thread. but dunno if its fixed in the latest b27 or not. I have been facing this FC problem since M3.

How to set gmail notification such that it appear on top status bar or with sound? TIA

When you are in the Gmail app, on the screen when you see the Inbox with many emails, tap "menu" (3 dots at the right bottom), select "Label settings". Tick those notifications that you want.

I think if you have special labels set up in Gmail, you can customise different notifications (such as ring tone) for them.

I said, flashing stuff with odins, we don't need to have a dependency on something. learn to read. and what's the point of arguing whether which phone is better? We just answered a guy's question about which phone is more worthy to get? you don't like my opinions, just ignore me, don't have to argue.

U make Odin sound much like iOS. Whats the big deal with one flashing programme? Well u started the argument first on Nexus is better bla bla, didnt see why u had to bash S2, calling it **it and stuffs. U like the NExus, good for u, dont have to bad name other phone just cause they have manufacturer overlays on them.

I have come from the S2 ->RAZR -> Note then Nexus, would say that it is definitely more enjoyable using the Note to Nexus, Ice cream sandwich is fast no doubt but it is one word "boring"(I'm comparing stock to stock). the only thing i like about nexus over S2 is the build quality of Nexus (more sturdy feel, not plasticky) and the curved screen. Apart from that I would say S2 and Note gives a better experience even with TW, the polished Android 2.3.6 makes it blazing fast as well, almost close to ICS, together with the hardware accelaration built into TW. (Really honest review)

Hi guys, any of you facing issues with the Google Navigation app?

It is never able to locate my current location so it is perpetually stuck at that spinning screen.
Navigation doesn't work in SG unless u using hacked version of Maps.

I did it for my inbox selecting both tone & notification on status bar but when sent email to my gmail , there is no sound or notification & no led blinking as per set in light flow.

Cant figure out what's wrong.

When you are in the Gmail app, on the screen when you see the Inbox with many emails, tap "menu" (3 dots at the right bottom), select "Label settings". Tick those notifications that you want.
