While I agree with you, this is steering close to trolling. You have to know we have troubles with several Windows "Evangelists" that are even more resistant than cockroaches.
The other parts should be coming soon. I really don't get why anyone would get a 10-inch Android. I'm not saying RT is any good, in fact I would not get any RT device (Windows 8 Pro only for me), but it's apparent that for productivity purposes - web browsing (while I appreciate bookmarks and tab syncing, performance is more important - I mean I can set up IE for once and live with better performance, but will have to tolerate with Chrome lag even if it's nicely set up from the get go), office, multi-screen etc, the Surface hands down beats the Nexus 10.
For all other purposes, the iPad is much better with better tablet apps. Heck, even the Windows store is outpacing Android when it comes to tablet apps.
The only only thing I can see people buying the Nexus 10 for is for videos. But it's a little expensive for a device to play just 1080p (i.e. less than the screen rez) videos isn't it. IF Windows RT ever gets a third party app like VLC, and future devices start coming with higher rez displays, I don't see how the Nexus will be able to compete at all. Yes it's quite a BIG 'if', that's why I'm not convinced to buy a RT device right now, because I need a more all-in-one device.
And the UI seems to have degraded in some areas - why the heck do we need a full horizontal black bar just to display 3 buttons WHICH ARE PLACED IN THE MIDDLE - meaning you have to stretch to use any of the core functionalities.
As I've said before, Google, please stick with 7 inchers.
I haven't used the Nexus 10 (yet) so I can't comment about that, but I do have the Surface RT, and the web browsing experience isn't spectacular. One thing that video doesn't really show much is when you jump from one website to another. Chrome loads web pages a LOT faster than IE on the Surface RT, and it is almost immediately responsive.
Unfortunately the scrolling lag is probably due to the higher PPI, but even the Retina Macbook Pro had issues with that (I own one so I am familiar with the issue). Some silly things which I think Google should definitely fix is the laggy / limited (?) zooming, inability to scroll when swiping on a video and stretching the webpage a little too much. Most of the issues seems to be stemming from Chrome running as a phone browser on a tablet though - looks like even Google needs to release a tablet version of Chrome for the Nexus 10.
The portrait mode of the Surface RT is less impressive than the video makes it out to be however. Your eyes are naturally "widescreen", and cannot take advantage of any part of the website below a certain height, nullifying the advantage of having extra screen estate at the bottom in portrait mode.
It's a pretty bold claim to say that the Surface has more tablet apps than the Nexus. I'm going to reserve judgement until I actually get the Nexus 10.

Anyway, until the day Win RT (I'm not going to expound Win 8, I installed it, and every day using it is a struggle) reaches feature/product/market parity, it's will always just be in the running for 3rd place.
There should be a better place to talk about other products, but it is decidedly not in a Nexus 10 thread. If you do have a hard on for the Surface, you should start a VS thread for these 2 and go wild there.![]()
I am using Retina MacBook Pro.
When it comes to scrolling, it only lags on Chrome. On Safari it's buttery smooth.
Any website in particular? I tried alternating between both, but I never really noticed any difference especially in the latest versions of Chrome.
I'm trying Youtube homepage now. Safari exhibits noticeably less stutter when scrolling while Chrome seems to struggle with the inertia of the scrolling.
You're right, I tried it myself. Pretty disappointing - it seems Google still has some way to go in optimizing Chrome for high PPI displays. Ironically, I'm very much tied to the Google web ecosystem so Chrome is still my primary browser across devices.
still thinking if i should sell off my n10 when it arrives.... :8
