Maybe because they bought from the US for US$199 and selling here for S$349? Whoever goes there on holiday can just bring back a few sets since they are so small and light

Personally, i refuse to pay that kind of mark-up. Rather wait for Acer's 7" tablet since their pricing is much fairer
You haven't seen the markup for the Acer tablet yet. :D

Ah, you just have to compare the pricing of the Acer Iconia Tab A210 with that of Asus Galaxy Nexus 7 3G. Both are selling in the US at US$299 but in Singapore, the Acer is selling at S$399 while the Nexus is S$499. Guess which company is screwing us!

Yucks....with those specs, that price isn't enticing at all. :(

very true, i have a China phone that uses the Mediatek chip. for the same price, might as well get the Mediatek 4.3" screen phone rather than this tablet

but at least Acer is being fair with their pricing unlike Asus!

While I'm all for justice and fairness, no way I would want someone to suffer in the name of all that with such a subpar tablet experience. :(

You can consider getting it from Qisahn. They are selling the 16GB version for $559 now. I bought my set from them when the price was $589. So far so good. I'm not affiliated with them by the way. A good alternative than going through the hassle of ordering from overseas.

Hi may i know who is qisahn that he mentioned ?
I am damn keen to grab this machine in a good price
