Anyone happen to know the best price to buy locally? Need to buy a set urgently as a gift, was looking at tab 3 7 (250) or tab 3 8 (380) but both have lagging problem. I tried Samsung Tab 3 kids, very lagging it seems and cost 320, was thinking getting Nexus instead.

the lagging is due to Samsuck TouchWiz launcher and bunch of bloatware loaded in the background.

Guys, what casing n SP are you all using? I just saw the original Asus travel cover. Not very good leh. Can't let the tablet stand at all. Plus no SP included.

I using the ASUS travel cover and I love it so I guess it up to your usage. I kinda love the material for its non slip surface good for handling. I use it for reading notes and books and mostly on train, so it is slim and light enough to be kept in between my books (or between my armpits while walking to change trains) and fully protected. I use the screen protector from SGP and it is perfect :) they may be a bit too costly compared to other alternatives but I got both of them for free so can't complain :)

Nowadays battery technology you can just charge it until it show full then can use already.. Don't need the 8 hours or full charge then discharge cycle..

Really? I thought even with the advanced battery technology, the first charge before use still needs to be at least 8-10 hours?

Though I know that Li-ion no need to fully discharge before re-charging. In fact, I read a few tech articles that it's not good for the battery to fully discharge, at any time.
