Nexus 7 2013 - still the king of 7 inch tablets, even after 2 years past.

I fully agree, even after 2 yrs, no other tablets has the specs vs price come close

but i do agree with another comment, my N7 (2013) also dying ... due to wear n tear ... the USB connection - gone case ... cant transfer data ...
need to Bluetooth

Quite puzzled how you guys wear down the USB port? I use one for 2 years already and don't have that issue. Tried to find a spare part on eBay and do it yourself fix?

I forgot a close device for this is the Xperia Z Ultra, however it has an arguably inferior display, stupid flap, and no more Android 6.0 update.

Yup, same thinking regarding the worn USB port. My N7 USB port is still perfect.

Initial impression is that the UI is as smooth as IOS, no lag compared to Lollipop or JB. Battery life also seems to be much better. Will meddle with the settings and check out other features later tody. Overall I say a good upgrade from Lollipop.

Yes, after several reset without any success, restore back to kk4.4.4.

lcd is usually the most expensive component so the reasonable solution is DIY replace using spare part from eBay or something, or just buy another one.

i have 2 nexus 2nd gen since dec 14 ( one mine. the other my partner).

each has it's own issue.

my screen cannot routine automatic and need 3rd party app to force routine.

my partner's can't charge full batt when it turn on and hv to off it den it is able to charge full . Her also can't use wireless charging.

please assist

A few days ago I got the Marshmallow 6.0 for my Nexus 5 via OTA. Surprised the 2013 Nexus 7 (which was launched a few months earlier) is yet to get OTA for Android 6.0.

yeah, u are correct, NOT MARSHMALLOW, even if it is MARSHMALLOW, you need to "WAIT FOR YOUR TURN"

based on MANY PAST experience, Blue Mountain will release in Batches, so some of you will receive it first, others later,

what is the time delay? up to one week if u do it the "safe way" - OTA

but i think this will be LAST MAJOR update we will see on N7 (II)

other than the emergency security patch

A few days ago I got the Marshmallow 6.0 for my Nexus 5 via OTA. Surprised the 2013 Nexus 7 (which was launched a few months earlier) is yet to get OTA for Android 6.0.

OTA image is already available. Go and sideload yourself if you don't want to wait.

My N7 2013 won't turn on anymore out of the sudden. Top left corner feels really hot when charging though, which is weird. No bootloader, no flashing LED lights, nothing.

Anyone have any ideas?
