do you meant the nexus 8 which is rumoured to be out in late oct??

how good is it btw?? not sure if i should still get the google nexus gen 2 though.

literally no news on Nexus tablet (2015) , which OEM make, etc ... if anyone has info, please share....

as for N7(II), i still using it, going strong for light usage, but will upgrade to a new one ... waiting for more W10 tablets to be released as well ... (specs vs price)

nothing (yet). Nexus 7 2013 was released July 2013 (i still have a 16GB Wifi only June 2013). the 'supposed' replacement was Nexus 9, released Nov 2014.

hence the earliest one may come out on either on Nov 2015 or July 2016. until then, the king of 7 inch tablet is still the Nexus 7 2013.

i recently got another one, the LTE model as really, there's nothing to match it even as of this time.

Installed TWRP using WugFresh Nexus Root Toolkit v2.0.5

To root:
Download custom kernel zip file here
Download SuperSU zip file here

Flash custom kernel and SuperSU zip files using TWRP.

Congrats you have root :s12:

Android 6.0

However there is one bug - internal storage cannot be detected by PC (win 7 or wind 8.1) even though it shows device is connected.

Manage to fix this problem. This is what I did:

Connect usb to pc, go to Developers Option>Select USB Configuration, select PTP and let windows auto-install the device. After installation is done, re-select MTP. Nexus 7 internal storage will appear on PC. :s12:

Initial impression is that the UI is as smooth as IOS, no lag compared to Lollipop or JB. Battery life also seems to be much better. Will meddle with the settings and check out other features later tody. Overall I say a good upgrade from Lollipop. :s12:

Update: Titanium backup crashes. :vijayadmin:

it has been described. closest match would be the Nexus 7 2012 which we know is dead slow.

http://www.forbes.com/sites/patrick...t-performs-poorly-as-one-would-expect-for-50/

if u like are for the 7 inch, there is no other better choice.

1. Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact (its not 7 inch, it has that annoying charging flap)
2. Dell Venue 8 7840 (its not 7 inch, proven slow update if ever it comes out)
3. Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 (its not 7 inch, gimmicky and bloaty suckwiz)
4. Nexus 9 (the successor, but not size friendly anymore)
