For sharing, placed an order yesterday night :

"Google Nexus 7 FHD Tablet (7-Inch, 32GB, Black) by ASUS (2013)"
Estimated arrival date: September 10, 2013 - September 11, 2013

I think if yours is a direct shipment from Amanzon, then it is likely to use iParcel. Good Luck!

I place my order on Saturday and the ETA is end of Aug.

Mines 4.3 out of the box I think or auto update.
All N7 (2013) comes with Android 4.3 out of the box. What you want to check is the build number. JSS15Q is the latest and supposed to fix multi touch issues.

Mine is still JSS15J, and I discovered the multi touch issue last night when my keyboard started going crazy. Rebooted the tablet and it's gone now.

And to me, I rooted my phones because I couldn't stand HTC or Samsung's interface, plus all that bloatware and carrier installed apps. Root allows me to replace the interface with Android's stock and remove all those bloatware.

Needless to say my next phone has to be a Nexus or something very close to stock Android (Moto X anyone?).

Totally lost about it..or maybe i should just leave it as stock rom? If this is the case, is it worth it to get an android tablet?
You definitely do not need to root an Android tablet to fully enjoy it. In short, rooting is for people who wants very specialized customization or access to specific system resources intended for developers. Why we talk so much about rooting and stuff here? Because it's a Nexus - one of the easiest Android device to root. :D

If you are new to Android, you can try Windroy (an Android emulator for Windows) and have a feel of its interface. It's very basic stock stuff and does not include the Play store for you to download new apps etc.

Wow, your order is really fast.
Was it out-of-stock when you order?
It was OOS when i ordered so surprised that they provided a delivery date, although it's like 2 weeks delay.

Latest update.
Shipping Now
We've started preparing your shipment for delivery and it should leave our facility in the next few hours to a few days. We'll send you an e-mail once your order has shipped. The length of time your shipment spends in this status does not impact your delivery date.

Delivery Estimate: Monday, September 9, 2013 - Tuesday, September 10, 2013 by 8:00pm

Around 4 days using DHL Express if without problems or delay. Call DHL once your parcel reaches Singapore facilities and you might get it this Saturday or Sunday morning.

Ok thanks. I will do that when I get home tonight.

Just want to point out a few things first
1) I tried Safe Mode. Doesn't help.
2) Using apps like BBS and Wakelock Detector, it is a kernel wakelock call pil-gss that's causing the problem.

I agree that rooting is unlikely to solve the problem. I thought if I use a ROM with different kernel, then it may help.

Once again, thanks for all the help. Gam Dong!
