hey guys, i got a used rooted n7 2013 and now i wanna unroot it. im using a mac btw. online instructions and toolkit are for windows..

anyone knows how to unroot the n7 and do a factory reset using mac? thanks

Mine is still JSS15J, and I discovered the multi touch issue last night when my keyboard started going crazy. Rebooted the tablet and it's gone now.

And to me, I rooted my phones because I couldn't stand HTC or Samsung's interface, plus all that bloatware and carrier installed apps. Root allows me to replace the interface with Android's stock and remove all those bloatware.

Needless to say my next phone has to be a Nexus or something very close to stock Android (Moto X anyone?).

I only receive the 15Q update yesterday.

And ya, I'm really liking the "stock feel" of android since I got the N7.

I see that you've gone 30mins without a single % drops. What cause the drain by the end of the day with no one using it?

What is it like before you install DS Battery Saver? Why not uninstall it and see how?

edit: Assuming it not a hardware problem, I would uninstall the Battery Saver and monitor a longer period of time.

You don't need a mac or pc to unroot and factory reset a N7.

To unroot:
Go to App Drawer > SuperSu > Settings > Full unroot

To factory reset:
Go to App Drawer > Settings > Backup & reset > Factory data reset
(Another method to completely reset and wipe sdcard partition is to use TWRP recovery. I won't recommend it for inexperienced users though.)

Current price is still USD229 for 16Gb and USD269 for 32GB, no changes. However, amazon now offers free shipping to Singapore, which saves you about USD 15.

Not very sure about mac, but why not just borrow a windows PC for like 15 minutes to unroot it?

Can't install the update as I am using custom recovery. So I need to return back to stock then install the firmware.

Maybe I will just install one of the custom ROM.. Less hassle.,

If you're rooted on stock rom with superSU, you just need to follow these steps to preserve root with OTA.
