Asking you guys, who used 16GB one, how do you manage the storage? Using OTG USB? Thanks.

Use this........

My new hoot for the Nexus 7 is here:

The Meenova mini card reader was recommended by the guys over at XDA....

Only drawback, it only reads FAT32 formatted microSD cards.

Will the nexus 7 show lagginess when watching movie and playing nds emulator game directly from this memory card reader??

And the drawback of FAT32 is each file the maximum size is only limited to 4GB is it?

Really? I thought even with the advanced battery technology, the first charge before use still needs to be at least 8-10 hours?

Though I know that Li-ion no need to fully discharge before re-charging. In fact, I read a few tech articles that it's not good for the battery to fully discharge, at any time.

i've never followed the first charge of 8 hours thingy for the past few years due to kanjiong-ness to play the devices and thats what i advised ppl also when they ask about this question. so far no problems, they also never come back to me about battery problems. could be my luck with gadgets also. cannot guarantee. :)

if you ask me, i say no need, but if you worry, you can see leave it charged overnight for the first time, no harm :)

Everything looks impressive :)

Thanks for sharing.

I using the ASUS travel cover and I love it so I guess it up to your usage. I kinda love the material for its non slip surface good for handling. I use it for reading notes and books and mostly on train, so it is slim and light enough to be kept in between my books (or between my armpits while walking to change trains) and fully protected. I use the screen protector from SGP and it is perfect :) they may be a bit too costly compared to other alternatives but I got both of them for free so can't complain :)

don't really see the need for X amount of hours to charge. In this day and age, the device is likely to stop charging once it hits 100% .. so leaving it plugged in is just waste of time, or u like being tethered to a cable.

Also if X hours of charge is required, it would have been mentioned in the manual right?

Of course leaving it overnight charging would have been another matter since no one would be setting an alarm to wakeup to unplug it once it reaches 100% :D

No lag for movies, not sure if you can play nds games directly from it.

It works with NTFS formatted cards too, but it is read-only from your device.

Can i use this config (Meenova MicroSD Reader with 64gb MicroSD) with a stock Nexus 7? Or do i need root?

If you don't want to root, you can get the Nexus Media Importer from the playstore.

Where buy nexus 7 in sg 32gb one around how much also ?

I bought the 32GB Wifi model at Challenger yesterday for $379, supposed promo for members with limited units. I think you can get cheaper at places like Open Surface and Qisahn but they may not have the Asus warranty.

Those who want. I came across this last week online and now finally it is available to us locally. By far the best USB OTG drive. Reasonably priced too.

Thinking of purchasing one but I'm really new to the tablet / android scene as this would be my first.

From what I read the Nexus 7 is currently one of the best, if not the best tablet out there at the moment?

Tried looking around for prices and peeps here are getting from Amazon mostly? If want local and warranty best to get from retailers like Challenger?
