Registers your n7 by hishouken
Just called Asus - Yes, our Nexus 7 has global warranty coverage. However since N7 has not launch in Singapore, servicing will be "slower" because they will have to procure parts from their global office. Secondly, they checked my serial number & confirmed there is warranty for my unit. The serial number can be found on the box under "SSN". Mine starts with "C60K.....". Lastly, you can register your device with Asus at vip.asus.com.

Search under "Eee Family", you should find "Nexus 7" there. I have just registered mine.

1.Make factory reset.
2.When you get to the screen to enter Google account skip it.
3.Uncheck all the check-boxes in next screens.
4.Now when you got to the home screen, go to settings.Under Wireless and Networks click more.

Have screen lift issue after using it for about a week? Should i bring it down to the service centre and get it fixed? Or should i just live with it? Doesn't really stick out that much, just that if apply pressure on the left hand side can see ripple effects

I have inserted my micro sim, does n7 automatically use wifi or do I have to set anything to prevent it using mdata unless there is no wifi?

Btw, mt micro sim comes free with my m1 fibre bb, it has a 1gb limit right? Which is not a lot which is why I have to make sure my n7 uses wifi whenever it's available.

Hi, for those who bought from Google Play store, how did you pay when the billing address ask for a US address?

For BH Photo, it is listed as a 4G tablet. Will it work with local 3G services? Thanks.

The 4g is not lte, in case you thought you are buying a lte tablet.

Anyone knows the shipping charges for the N7 from BHPHOTO.COM?

Shipping from bnh to your freight forwarder like hopshopgo or comgateway is free as it is within the US. After that can cost about 15-16usd to send to Singapore without any discount.

At the moment, whenever I'm home, I will go to settings, under mobile network, I disable mobile data. Then if go out, no wifi, then set to enable mobile data. Is this what you mean by toggle? Or the re is a better way?

When wifi is activated, mobile data is not used. But if u wanna save battery then u should put to airplane mode then activate wifi. Because even if mobile data is disabled, cellular connection remains aka sms/phone network.

If battery is not a concern then just simply switching on/off wifi will do. You can use apps like Llama or wi-fi matic to automate such actions if you are lazy/forgetful - I know I am. :D

So I don't have to disable mobile data, as long as there is wifi, it automatically uses wifi? Then that's good.
