Latest PA rom uploaded today should have the pie working on non-full screen mode, ie pie with status bar!

Anyone tried or trying soon? I'm currently still sitting on the fence. Too lazy to start flashing any thing on my nexus 7 at the moment and then restoring back to stock cause I'm waiting to see if the newly replaced speakers will get blown again..

Just updated, still needs expanded desktop, at least from my short time with it.

Or does anyone have any suggestions for a case that protects the body fully (poetic one has lots of gaps) and that has the smart cover style flap?

Anyone getting rubbish idle battery life on their N7? I have changed the setting so that wifi is only on when the screen is on, but it still seems to go flat after a few days of non-use. I also have an iPad 2, I can leave that thing alone for weeks and it still has plenty of charge left.

First thing. Ipad 2 battery is way much larger than a n7. If you were to compare I would think ipad mini might be able to compare. Ipad 2 is 6930mAh. N7 is just 4350mAh. Thats one of the reason it has a longer standby time than the n7.

Secondly. If you are not using just off the wifi. Adding an on off switch at home page is better than auto on wifi when the screen is on. Fyi when using the auto on function its still connected to wifi once in a while periodically.

Lastly. By right the n7 with 3g I ever lasted for 4 to 5 days worth of standby without touching it.

Received a sms in the morning and have collected it... No more screen lift BUT now there is screen bleed at the top... Hope it goes away... Otherwise, its another trip down >.<

So how long did you wait until you receive your nexus 7 from them? I sent mine in last thursday exactly 1 week already still no news... I check the online repair status they say repair completed on 29 jan..

For those who sent in to repair the Nexus 7's screen lift issue, are you able to keep your screen protector? I have minor screen lift and the reason I'm not sending for repair is because I spent $30 on the SGP screen protector.

i have screen lift issue.. then i bought the nexus cover.. it cover the whole screen... after a few week.. the lifting gone.. haha


i do not think that the screen protector need to be remove for the fix.. typically.. its some screws.. or some tape not sticking.

just got my nexus 7 back from service centre. I sent mine in with screen protector on and even though they replaced the LCD they also repasted the screen protector from the old LCD so you should not lose your screen protector.

Wow... lucky you. I got mine removed and stuck to the back when it returned.

not sure that screen bleed is something that just goes away...

Well... a guy can hope >.< Not as serious as when i just got it back though... See if i can live with it... If not, guess will sent it back in again after CNY

From qoo10. I got the ultra fine. It's from SGP so it's expensive. Like that I will just live with it. The screen lift doesn't really bother me, unless I press strongly at the left side.
