the point of this is to fight ipad.. + price...
if the n7 has exp mem... it will be more ex.. then.. dead..
Expandable memory wouldn't be the dealbreaker in keeping costs down...
There are many "sensitive" considerations for the omission of expandable meory by Google in its Nexus line. These include:
1) Not wanting to be perceived by its Android partners as a threat/competitor, features like HDMI-Out & expandable memory purposely left out to give other brands a competitive advantage
2) Copyright issues, piracy is rampant in the Android ecosystem compared to iOS due to the open nature of Android. The microSD card is an easy way to transfer & obtain all those pirated apps, particularly those big games which are commonly pirated, hence without expendable memory it actually appeases the IP owners as it would discourage piracy to some extent.
3) Sly business decision to support Google's cloud & streaming offerings. No microSD card, harder to bring around your own music/videos collection, limited space for your documents. How about subscribing to Google Play, Google Music & Google Drive ?
