I do remember my Blackberries and older Samsung phones all no power one. Just now I went to charge and power on 1 Blackberry and 1 Samsung, still can leh.

what's the next best tablet after Nexus 7...

the cons are really slow charging and also drain battery in sleep mode...and now with OS upgrade, the whole system also slow down...

Yeah tab s seem pretty solid but it's been out a while now. I would rather wait for a 64bit version to be out with probably the UFS storage.

Technology cannot chase finish one. If it comes out then people would say its too expensive and etc.

Honestly for me, a 2013 N7 is quite a cheap and good tablet already.

True but sometimes there's a minimum that one can take lol. If you wait few months, probably the tablet might last you few years but if you get the older one maybe within 1 year you feel like you need to change it. Currently, i feel the N7 still ok but that's cos i can't do much more with it other than game a bit and watch movies haha, so for that it's ok but productivity wise it's a no go.

agree, it's only good for movie, and streaming...

as for how slow the charging...takes more than 8hrs to full charge..

if you can find tab s 8.4 wifi below $400, then it's a much better tablet than nexus 7 2013...

better and bigger screen,
microsd support,
1yr newer,
better batt,
more ram

Why yours take so long??? U using PC to charge it? Mine using wall socket takes only like 3hrs.

Nexus 7 2013 is still the 16:9 ratio one. 4:3 definitely better for reading but that's provided if it's a 7" I find Nexus 7 a bit not so nice to use for reading. But at 9" i dun think there's an issue. What's more resolution is QHD, reading is much more pleasant.

Cannot hold my iPad mini comfortablly with 1 hand and kindle fire 6.0 a bit slow and boring so i wanna get the nexus 7 2013 but no new stock everywhere. Finally i bought it and it was at a bargain. So happy.

i cannot buy Tab S 8.4 because i already have a Tab S 10.5 and love it but always use use then no batt and have to charge. Cannot hold my iPad mini comfortablly with 1 hand and kindle fire 6.0 a bit slow and boring so i wanna get the nexus 7 2013 but no new stock everywhere. Finally i bought it and it was at a bargain. So happy.

Oh then dun need buy 8.4 la. iPad mini so mini still cannot hold comfortably? I dun wanna get N7 2013 now cos it's a minor upgrade over my N7 2012 only and so ex for that purpose. I am thinking of going Samsung's way cos while i prefer to have at least 1 Nexus tablet, N9 4:3 doesn't appeal to me that much.

Aren't u using the wall charge that came with your Nexus? Are u also using the same cable tat came with it? Cos some cable is slow charging one.

I am using the Xiaomi cable..
but not using the native wallplug..I was using a free SPH wall plug with USB port..but quite crappy output though...0.6A or so...

I have 10" surface..so not getting a 10inch android..

and a 5.5inch iphone...so 7" is a in between..and a good choice for me..
