Hehe....maybe. But by simply not releasing 2.3 for SGS is a very big blow already. :D

Anyway, it makes sense lah. Samsung paid licensing to have those codecs in their phones, where got so stupid give to Google.....
SGS with Froyo rooted > Nexus S with Gingerbread :D

Anyway, where is the multimedia codec supported list?

Also, what's with the 'S'? Any other copying from iPhone 3GS?

Nexus S or iPhone 4 for me next year.

Though many reviews state that battery life is decent (lasts at least a day without many long calls, some 3G usage), i'm still a bit apprehensive. Samsung's move to cheaper, lighter materials a bit of a turn-off, especially when it's known to be a fingerprint magnet.

Any bros who actually get your hands on the device, a review would be most appreciated. I'm not anywhere close to being a techie so i'm wondering if getting the Nexus S would be wise, 'cos i'd most probably be under-utilising it alot.

Last time Samsung/Nokia/Motorola and all the phone giants keep coming up with iPhone killer models, then came the big hype about Nexus One - which didn't do very well.

Now seems like Nexus S is a close competition for the iPhone 4. At least Google and Samsung never teach me how to hold my phone.

Something to share: http://www.techradar.com/news/phone...ire-hd-vs-iphone-4-vs-samsung-galaxy-s-913830

To be honest, the Nexus S wont be a revolution especially for Galaxy S owners. But most will still put it up high on our wishlist anyway!!

I simply love Android's flexibilty ESPECIALLY after having experimented with the apple for several hair-raising days recently.

What i painfully missed during those few days: file sharing, Wifi tethering, displaying calender events on my home screen, mass storage mode, songs/videos of any format... and most importantly, my Super Amoled screen!!!

So will i upgrade to Nexus S? Most likely. Purely for the cam flash!! Haha!!

ps: lack of external sdcard support is a bummer, tho.

I've thought up of many uses for it, and will be getting this phone to test out my ideas :o

really? cool...pls help speed up the NFC use other than visa paywave or ezlink....

1 problem about using the nfc in phone for ezlink purposes on BUSES...mrts is ok..but buses gt that irritating BEEP when u scan...and if u gt the other person on the line with u while u scan, its gonna hurt their ears....

Google implement NFC in NexusS is basically for their own selfish purposes. It won't gain any widespread acceptance imho.
