Honestly very little reason to get pixel in SG at this point, unless they start unlocking core features like call screen for us.

Samsung gets the best A.I. features from Google anyway and OnePlus has superior hardware plus some nifty software features too. Xiaomi has the best camera hardware and Poco has the best cost effectiveness.

Buying Pixel in SG now is like ordering chicken rice without chicken. no Call Screen, no Direct My Call... good thing we’ve got so many strong alternatives. OnePlus has great hardware, Xiaomi’s camera is strong, and Poco’s pricing is unbeatable. sibeh hard to recommend Pixel unless you really love the stock Android experience loh

Google itself is huge in SG if you have been to their office. They should have some presence like Xiaomi la. Don’t even need to mentioned Apple. But I feel their hardware can last 7 years. Many Apple phone last 6-7 years unlike the Chinese. Xiaomi probably have 1 update and then game over
Office huge, but priority isn't on Pixel anyways since it's not the main income stream. Morever, companies can claim what they want but will they actually follow up and execute is another thing.
We have seen such claims but IIRC, it's always with caveats that this commitments might and can be dropped as to their convenience.
Latest features also always restricted to US, we support them but don't get to enjoy any perks. Price also pay higher, similarly with Apple too. Always getting the short end of the stick.
And yes, if only Google provide similar after sales and service to Apple, the demand likely will increase. But as we all know, it can be done as with most things, Google since they are huge, it's just whether Google wants to.
And with Google's track record, they have not been known to commit to any their products for long. :s13:

Chinese companies like XM etc. only lack the software optimisation and support levels imo, their hard product offering good enough. Specifically with XM since I have experience, they are starting to provide "International Warranty" to certain products, which is a good sign. Ultimately, competition is good for both the customers and the companies, since companies need to constantly innovate to provide better value and offering instead of resting on their laurels.

TL;DR
  • Google is inviting Pixel Superfans to apply to attend a June 27 pre-launch Pixel event.
  • Last year’s Pixel 9 launch was in August, following years of October launches.
  • With Android 16 expected for early June, a late June/early July Pixel 10 launch feels plausible.

If you’re not already a big fan of Pixel smartphones, this is the year to start changing your tune. Google’s move to having TSMC produce the Tensor G5 chip that will power its Pixel 10 series has the potential to be the most impactful change we’ve ever seen when it comes to Pixel performance. And we’re already quite excited about Android 16, which is likely just days away from hitting stable. So with the software nearly here, when can we expect the hardware to arrive? We still don’t have a precise date, but a new Google teaser has that launch looking like it’s coming sooner rather than later.

Google’s Pixel Superfans program is exactly what it sounds like, and offers the most voracious Pixel enthusiasts a chance to feel closer to the action than many smartphone users could ever dream of. That means occasionally getting access to some exclusive events, and earlier today we became aware of a new message hitting the inboxes of Superfans:

pixel superfans penthouse invite

Google invites them to apply for a shot at winning one of 25 slots to attend a pre-release Pixel event scheduled for June 27. And while Google doesn’t out and say “Pixel 10” anywhere here, there’s not really a long list of alternative devices we could be talking about.

You may remember that most recent Pixel launches have taken place in early October, although last year saw Google slide things up considerably to August for the Pixel 9 series. That seems to be a pattern that’s continuing, from the early release of the first Android 16 previews, to the March launch of the Pixel 9a — two months ahead of the Pixel 8a’s debut the year before.

As such, it’s not crazy to think about a late June/early July introduction of the Pixel 10 family. We’d been kicking around August again as a possibility before, but based on what we’re seeing today, it feels like Google’s timetable could be even more advanced.

Of course, it’s possible that Google’s coyness here could conceal a bigger secret, and maybe it really does have something that’s not the Pixel 10 to show off. But based on the momentum we’ve witnessed over the past several months of Google sliding release schedules up earlier, the Pixel 10 is definitely the safe bet here. It’s also possible that this early look the Superfans are getting will just be very, very early, and an August launch could still be in the cards. Hopefully we’ll learn something a little more concrete as June gets started.

Thanks and well said. That is the problem with Singapore tiny little market. Take for example Xiaomi. Their offerings in China trash Singapore. Likewise no need to say about Google in US vs Singapore. Haha! We just have to suck it up.

As the neighbouring market develop, we can see that SG is getting lower and lower in priority tbh.
Yes, ultimately, llst, what can we do. 🤷‍♂️

Pixel 10 Pro Pricing Will Define Android’s Future

Pixel 9 Pro XL

As Google prepares to launch the Pixel 10 and Pixel 10 Pro, it will be focusing on the story it tells to consumers. However, a deeper story is being told by the Pixel 10 family, revealing the direction Google is driving the Android ecosystem.

Pixel 10 And Pixel 10 Pro Driving Conversation

Unlike other Android manufacturers (perhaps excepting Samsung), Google has a totemic relationship with the consumers through the Pixel line-up. They are seen very much as "The Google Phone", and recognition from consumers is more towards the Google side of the street than the Android side.

The moves that Google makes with the Pixel devices are seen as indicative of any phones that "run Google." The moves it makes with the Pixel tell the story not just of Pixel, but of Android. What stories are Google planning to tell with the Pixel 10 family, and how will that shape the respective markets?

Pixel 10 Preserves The Flagship Killers

The Pixel 10 may be the keystone in the conversation. There is an expectation that the base model will retain the $799 price point that the Pixel 9 was on sale at. That's a price point where many of the so-called flagship killer smartphones sit; devices which promise an experience close to that of the more expensive and higher specced handsets, without the associated increase in price.

Of course, some specifications will be trimmed back, but notably, Google is expected to keep using the Tensor G5 across the Pixel 10 family. There's no undercutting the formula with a derated processor. Google will also be hoping that its offer of seven years of Android updates and security patches will be accommodated by other manufacturers. It's becoming common to see six years announced with new handsets, so the support windows are moving in the right direction.

What Google won't want to see is the loss of the flagship killer space. The Pixel 10 will balance the need for high specs to run generative AI and more complex programs, with a need to keep an affordable yet powerful phone available at the $799 price point. If the price of the Pixel 10 were to rise, that would risk the flagship killer's space.

Pixel 10 Pro Price Promise

The expected sticker price of $999 is an important one. Staying below a thousand dollars, while delivering a full-on flagship, is the role of the Pixel 10 Pro. Much as the Pixel 10 will be used to stop power creep from bleeding into price creep, Google will draw a line in the sand that no one will pass when selling premium devices.

Google is expected to push the entry-level price of the Pixel 10 Pro XL up by $100 to $1199. I'm curious to see if this is a direct price increase or if it is accomplished by dropping the 128 GB storage option and starting at 256 GB. If this approach is taken, the price for the 256 GB model remains the same as the Pixel 10 Pro XL.

We're here for the story, though, and the story is one that pushes the Pro XL higher up the pricing curve. It's giving tacit permission for manufacturers to create more separation and maximise the margins further up the portfolio.

Pixel 10 Pro Fold Pushes The Foldables Market

Curiously, the Pixel 10 Pro Fold is expected to see a price cut of $200, taking it down to $1599. That's still a hefty price for a phone, and I'm curious to see the offering that Google has and what compromises it has taken.

It will be seen as an effort to bring down the expected price of a foldable, which will benefit many in the market. While the form factor has been around for some time, they still remain as smartphones for manufacturers to flex their innovation, rather than focus on mass market sales.

There's no doubt that price plays a big part in that decision. Premium smartphones are expensive; adding in a "gee-whizz" feature such as a folding screen, and many will not want to take the risk. Bringing the price down reduces that risk by a small margin. The parts are still expensive, but the direction this market wants to go in is clear.

The Hidden Pixel 10 And Pixel 10 Pro Story

No doubt the launch of the Pixel 10 family will touch Gogole's new hardware and lean heavily into Android 16 and the promise of the next-generation AI tools. However, the stroy underneath the story is just as interesting. Android is as much Google's as it is an Open Source project. It's the Pixel 10 that points out the direction that the Captain wants to take the ship.

Google will unveil the Pixel 10 series at its Made by Google event on August 13, with pre-orders beginning the same day and shipping set for August 20. The lineup will include the Pixel 10, 10 Pro, 10 Pro XL, and the foldable Pixel 10 Pro Fold.
The Google Pixel 10 series is right around

The Google Pixel 10 series is right around the corner, and we can now confirm the Google Pixel 10 release date, as well as when pre-orders will start and when devices will begin shipping.

Google will hold its Made by Google event on August 13, 2025. Pre-orders will also begin on August 13 for the Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, Pixel 10 Pro XL, and Pixel 10 Pro Fold. We also expect to see the Pixel Watch 4 announced on this date, though we cannot confirm that just yet.

The Pixel 10 devices will start shipping a week later on August 20, 2025. Making the Google Pixel 10 Release Date August 20, 2025.

Interestingly, this is the same announcement date as the Pixel 9 had, August 13, 2024. Though pre-orders will ship earlier this year.

It’s worth noting that last week, Google sent out an invite to some lucky Pixel Superfans, inviting them to come see the next Pixel before anyone else, on June 25. This led many to believe that the Pixel 10 would launch sooner this year, but that is not true. It will still be announced on the same day as the Pixel 9, which is August 13.

Google’s Pixel 10 series will look mostly the same as the Pixel 9

We have already released the CAD renders of the entire Pixel 10 series, which shows that all of the models will look the same as their predecessors. So if you were expecting a huge design change from the Pixel 9, we’re sorry to burst your bubble.

The good news here, however, is that Google will be keeping the “Pro” model for the Pixel 10. So we’re looking at the Pixel 10 and Pixel 10 Pro with the same size displays. Then the Pixel 10 Pro XL with a larger display and the foldable Pixel 10 Pro Fold.

Keeping the design the same is perfectly fine for the Pixel 10, since the Pixel 9’s redesign was so great. Everyone absolutely loved the design of the Pixel 9, so it’s good to see Google sticking with it for the Pixel 10. Though we did expect to see a little bit of a change to the design, iterating on it.

After having released renders of the Google Pixel 10, 10 Pro, and 10 Pro XL, we can now release renders of the Google Pixel 10 Pro Fold. Like with the rest of the Pixel 10 lineup, there doesn’t appear to be many changes on the Pixel 10 Pro Fold either. The camera module also appears to be about the same size, so the sensors are likely the same or at least the same size as the Pixel 9 Pro Fold.

As we confirmed last September, the Pixel 10 Pro Fold’s codename is Rango. We still don’t have a ton of info on it, but that should change in the next few months as we get closer to the launch. However, we do know it will launch with the Tensor G5 processor manufactured by TSMC, and we expect the RAM and storage configurations to remain the same, with 16GB of RAM and storage options of 256GB or 512GB.

The Pixel 10 Pro Fold is the spitting image of the Pixel 9 Pro Fold, and that’s not necessarily a bad thing. After all, the Pixel 9 Pro Fold is simply stunning. We do expect it to be a bit thinner this year – likely not as thin as the HONOR Magic V3 or OPPO Find N5 – though that is hard to tell from these renders.

The Google Pixel 10 Pro Fold will dimensions of about 155.2 x 150.4 x 5.3mm. That’s slightly different than the Pixel 9 Pro Fold, and some of you might notice, that’s actually thicker than the Pixel 10 Pro Fold. However, it’s important to note, that Onleaks dimensions are off by a very small amount (around 0.1-0.3mm). So we’re banking on it being the exact same dimensions this year.

Google’s Pixel 10 Pro Fold should launch in August with the rest of the Pixel 10 series

Similar to last year, the Pixel 10 Pro Fold should also launch alongside the rest of the Pixel 10 series in August at a Made by Google event. That means Google would be launching the Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, Pixel 10 Pro XL, and the Pixel 10 Pro Fold together – just as Google did with the Pixel 9 series.

Other sources have indicated that the Google Pixel 10 Pro Fold will be offered at a lower price point this year. This stands in contrast to the pricing strategy for other phone makers this year, which will either maintain their current prices or become more expensive. Google’s premium foldable device is expected to see a modest price reduction when it launches in August.

Besides a rumor revealing the likely event date, an early prototype of the Google Pixel 10 Pro has leaked today.

As reshared by Mystic Leaks from a Chinese social media platform called “coolapk,” this is a “DVT1.0” (Design Verification Test) prototype of the “Pixel 10 Pro.” We see the Settings > About phone > Model page that’s pre-Material 3 Expressive. Other screenshots show it is running Android 16 and not QPR1.

There are a handful of small changes from the Pixel 9 Pro, starting with how the USB-C port at the bottom is now flanked by identical cutouts. Like past Pixel phones, one should be the bottom-firing speaker while the other is for the microphone.

Google has moved the SIM card tray to the top left edge. It occupies the 9 Pro’s antenna cutout and is really quite wide. That top shot also gives us an ideal about the Pixel 10 Pro’s thickness. It’s unclear if the main body is thinner, but the camera bar looks thicker than what we have today.

Meanwhile, the face of the camera bar has the same general design, but the cover glass looks to go closer to the edge. (For comparison, the cover image at the top of the page is of the Pixel 9 Pro.) There is just a sliver of metal on the perimeter. Further down, we see the pattern that Google uses to identify prototypes.
An app provides some specs, including the “blazer” codename, 16 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage. We get a look at the “Tensor G5” with its core configuration:
  • 2x Cortex-A520
  • 3x Cortex-A725
  • 2x Cortex-A725
  • 1x Cortex-X4

However, Mystic Leaks points out how the “5 nm” entry should be wrong as we’re expecting the Tensor G5 to be built on a 3nm process. Meanwhile, the modem is “g5400i” which would again suggest Samsung Exynos rather than MediaTek, which was previously rumored.
