It's more of a polished experience compared to pixel 10 series. If you liked pixel 10 series but think it's just not there yet then maybe pixel 11 might be it.

If you don't like pixel experience so far then don't need waste time and money.
I like the way you are comparing with the pixel 10 and NOT other phones

Else you will start wondering why you got pixel in the first place

Eh. I use other phones also but I still got a pixel again. Sure it's not the best in specs, end of the day people who buys a pixel knows what they are getting into.

You mention pixel can't double tap to turn off screen and Chinese phones are leagues ahead. That's a valid point but from my experience Oppo also not say very customizable. Like can't even remove the Google discover page on the left side without a workaround.

Since you said he only compares to pixel 10, I'll compare it with oppo to give an example. For me oppo x9u ultra wide is just plain dumb since it's the only phone I've ever used that can't be used with a gimbal due to the positioning of the lens. I rather have a lower spec camera than a camera that's completely useless to me. But for others who don't use a gimbal, it's a good camera.

If pixel is not the phone for you then that's fine. Like for me, I'll never ever get a Xiaomi again because of the lack of updates among other stuff but for others it's their daily driver.

End of the day, everyone have different needs and preferences and no phone is perfect. Let's all just enjoy our purchases.

No offense but you already got your point across and your points are valid for sure. It's ok to point out the flaws but there's no need to keep bashing others. You are entitled to your opinion and he is entitled to his opinion. Let him enjoy his phone. A phone doesn't have to have the best specs or hardware as long as it meets the user's needs.

And no, I'm not brand loyal (or defending pixel) as I switch between different brands. I bought it knowing I'll probably switch to another brand a few months later.

Not picking a fight with you or anything by the way but let's not make this place a toxic one.

Well, like you have mentioned, I have my own opinions and you have yours.

Indeed it is not the best in terms of specs, but still, charging a bomb for the piece of trash they released? :s13:

I know you have gotten the phone :) just enjoy it and you can just skip my comment if you don't like it. It is a forum for discussion, and mind you, I am not bashing him or being personal here, I am bashing Google Pixel itself

Oppo phones are not that customizable e.g. can't remove the google discover page, this I agree. But there is a adb command you can run though. But your point is not that valid :). Pixel launcher can't turn it off too right? My customizations are referring to those that actually affects your usage of device. And yes, double tap to lock screen is important for me because I had a device with a spoilt power button because I keep pressing it to lock screen. Google discover is just a software feature, just don't swipe to the left on the home screen will do.

Cheers and have a good week ahead.

Those who hooted, honestly is it worth it?
Get it! But not at retail price haha. I got mine from Google store and all things considered, it definitely looked like I got my 512gb pro xl at $1400+ with the watch. It's worth it imo. The $61 national day Google pay voucher sweetened the whole package for me since I can get the case and accessories with the voucher and Google store credits from the pixel watch.

It's a really great phone. Just my perspective, I enjoy it more than using my S26 ultra. Depends on your preference and what u look for but if anyone comes from iphone and wants something that just works reliably, Pixel 11 seems like the polished product that pixel 10 should have been. I'm in Bangkok now and used it as my main device (despite bringing my iPhone and S26), it was truly fun taking photos with it here.

Last year I only used Pixel 10 Pro XL for the 1 year Google AI Pro. I used it until iPhone 17 & Air launch and switched to it. Now my Google Ai Pro is charging again next month. So I picked up a Pixel 11 Pro Fold for the free 6 months. So far it's better than the Pixel 10 Pro XL last year

any practical usage of the "HiLight" currently?

read there is a 3rd party app that can be sideloaded to make it give notifications, but troublesome to set up

With the Google clear case, pixel wireless charging stand 2 cannot charge the phone

nah, i'd rather keep the temperature sensor. Useful on many occasions, and it is a great conversation starter.
i dont miss that coz using 10 pro fold. But HiLight is included in 11 pro fold so is a bonus but useless feature at the moment.

If talking about from p10 series,
-slightly upgraded cameras from 10 series with faster night sight processing.
-More efficient chip. Less hot and battery life feels slightly longer although I didn't test how much longer.
-want the latest stuff
-renew my 6 months google subscription 😂

If talking about from other phones, it's mainly for the experience.
-Ease of set up and overall daily use. No need to uninstall the extra browsers, calendars, (for me since I use Google contact, calendar and chrome), bloatware and stuff. No need adb etc.
-Faster software updates (unlike Xiaomi x17u. April till now no update)
