I asked Challenger staff yesterday about the pre-order, they said last day of pre-order is Sept 9, and if I order now I can get it on Sept 9 itself as they start delivering it on that day. Is that true? Google store pre-order delivery date is still 30 Sept - 1 oct. I'm thinking of whether should I purchase from Challenger or wait until it reaches the shelf on Oct 15. Thank you.

Thank you, I am not sure how many people in front of me, it could be the staff just want to sell as many as possible so they said by Sept 9 can get the unit lol.

Eh I thought the staff can’t sell you anyway? You still have to do the pre-order online isn’t it?

Yes, I still have to do pre-order, but they told me they will deliver it on Sept 9 and I might or might not receive it on the same day or 2-3 days later.

Anyway I had pre-order, hope I can get it on Sept 9.

Thank you all. :s13:

Went to look see the phone finally

Two things I don't like abt this phone:
1. Screen too small as I'm used to 6.4"
2. Got noticeable lag, so this phone won't make the cut for me
3. I think the reasonable price tag should be $400 for a midrange chipset. Guess it's the price to pay for a better camera :o

Things I like:
1. Camera photo
2. Screen no more big ugly notch like pixel 4, but I feel the bezel could still be thinner
3. 3yrs os update

Speaking objectively, those who intend to get the phone should have some mental preparation what to expect realistically coming fr someone who has used many phones in the past. Good for light phone users but heavy users should avoid this to always get flagship chipset to future proof :o

Demo sets tend to be laggier due to the always-running demos. It's the same for Samsung phones too. Demo sets are always laggy as hell, but actual sets are fine.

This is basically pixel 4, strip to its bare minimal essential functions. What's to test really :s22:

These days flagship phones also no more excitement with just bits of small improvement, let alone midrange ones

I think the reason ppl buy this phone is purely due to camera and 3yrs os support :o

You like this say wrong alr. If demo set lag, real life will only be worse. It isn't going to suddenly perform miracle with improved speed after you install more and more apps and incoming vid+photos. Demo set is the best chance to see the long term performance, I've mentioned this many times before but few people believe me

Samseng phone same, last time I also see noticeable lag in demo then bought back. As expected, 6mths later lag getting worse. Idk is due to their lousy exynos chip or their poorly coded ui. Maybe some people don't mind or notice the lag la

4a is not a bad phone. Only the screen and chipset are the biggest concern, esp for long term usage. Short term usage is fine imo, then nx yr just change new phone :o
