seems like tpg SIM card does not work with p4a.

It works. Data and SMS anyway. No volte support by TPG (and M1) for p4a yet, so no calls can be received or made under TPG with p4a. Their volte app also haven't update to work with Android 11. I making do with WhatsApp calls for now, but my patience wearing thin after what their "developers" copy-paste as their response to my play store comments.

No idea. Originally, I ordered and the date was 30 Sep - 1 Oct. Then I cancelled. So now I just camp and see which dates are more favourable

Suggest you ask Google CSO or those here who received the phone whether is it possible they will deliver earlier than stated dates

I don't think that excuses them for the problems because they are big enough to get another company to do it for them. They don't even ship to all countries, just a small hand full and they can even screw this up.

Wont beable to meet your end sept timeline since amazon.sg usually charge 1-2 days before ship out. Or even on the day itself sometimes.

Not making excuses, in fact I find their changing delivery dates unjustifiable. But I think because unlike Apple or Samsung which have years of experience with logistics, supply chain and so on, Google has none before Pixel.

Nexus was essentially them just doing the software while Samsung/Huawei/LG covers the hardware. Google may not have enough connections to the manufacturers and logisitics, or yet to find a reliable company, which explains why there are so many screw ups.

Their CEO admitted that hardware is hard for them

Haha and the reason for that was because they only shipped the phone out from HK on the day we were supposed to receive it.

Maybe their understanding of 8-9th delivery is dhl collection enroute for delivery..Not deliver to customer's house..

A bit confused because I have an old Xiaomi A1 using TPG but without the volte app and able to receive and make calls. The call quality is bad though.

You used the tpg phone app right ? The app is currently not compatible with android 11
