It's all good news for a pair of decent-looking smartphones, until we get to its availability. The Google Pixel 4a 5G retails at US$499 while the Pixel 5 goes at US$699. However, the phones are getting a very limited first wave of launch, going to only eight countries on 15 October 2020. Out of all the listed countries for Pixel 4a 5G and Pixel 5, Singapore won't be getting it by the first wave, and the next wave doesn't start until November 2020.

The 2nd wave seems to be hinting at 4a 5g for the rest of the countries except JP who is getting it on 15 Oct..

Both phones will be limited to 5G markets – Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Ireland, Japan, Taiwan, the UK, and the US. The Pixel 4a 5G will launch first in Japan on October 15, and begin rolling out in other countries from November, while the Pixel 5 will be available across all 9 countries from October 15 in Just Black and Sorta Sage colour options.

Was clearing up and found out that 5 years ago I bought a Nexus 6P at $899.

So actually it wont be that bad to fork 100 more for

8GB RAM 128GB storage
90Hz
Dual cameras
5G (?)

imho, tech21 pure clear is the best transparent case with decent drop protection and anti-yellowing properties.

but even till now they haven't released cases for the 4a, so they might not release for new pixel series.
