from the above. there are various variants of the P5 with different 5G band support. it is stated that the taiwan P5 may not work with SG 5G bands. I have not had the chance to fact check the article yet. As always do homework before importing

I think most here are importing UK sets ba. UK sets is similar to what is being sold in Singapore. Pixel 4A sku is from UK too. But i know u are against export sets, so lets hope Google SG will release it locally lor. It will benefit us whom bought export sets to be able to get support in Singapore too even if we need to bear the repair cost

But well, who is the one at fault? Google lor. No us consumers. If they gave us a choice of an export set and a local set with warranty, i think this is a no brainer choice where all will go with local set with warranty even if we have to pay more for it.

IMHO, if Google does launch it officially here, no way it will be more than 999SGD. Which is lower or about the same as importing.

For reference, Google Aus is selling 4A for 599AUD while Google SG is selling it for 499SGD. For the Pixel 5, Google Aus is selling it for 999AUD.

i have amazon uk black set charged yesterday... so i am not against importing but we should present the facts and not skew it one way or the other.

I know most of the folks here are long time nexus/pixel folks so they know what they are doing. But there are always newbies aka "does google pay work with imported sets" folks...

did more digging on the 5G bands being used in SG currently.
n1 and n78. so all except the Verizon variant should work.. from a frequency prespective
