yes i don't mind waiting. But i was told that the price for the 5a would be $750 compared to $654 for the 4a 5g which is quite surprising..

Assuming that will be the case, it'd make more sense to get the 4a 5g i think haha

I would prefer to get one with local support rather than direct from Google USA.

What local support ? Neither phones are sold officially in SG.

ctdi actually do service certain models, replace my 4a 5G broken screen before there at a reasonable cost. They mentioned mine is still in warranty but I did not probe further what sort stuff is covered under their stated ”warranty"

i see, in this case, would you recommend i purchase the 5a instead and ship it over via ezbuy?
my experience from US is shipped to comgateway.. ezbuy though cheaper took longer. do some maths on the shipping cost, tax etc first.

Hi, just wanna get some opinions from you guys.. I can get the 4a 5g at $654 with 1 year in house warranty.

Is that worth it or should I just get the 5a? Thanks!
If is me, I will get 5a so will have 3yrs os updates. Also the bigger screen and battery is a big plus that cannot be underestimated

Samsung is a huge corporation with their own fabrication plant where even Apple has to source parts from them. Cannot compare. And don't underestimate OnePlus, their parent company ( BKK ) is huge in China. Oppo Vivo OnePlus Realme iQOO are all under it's control.

Only Apple is slightly similar to Google in the terms of their smartphone history. Even so, Apple started as a hardware company with Macs. Google being a software company has had to play catch ever since.

Yes, Google bought parts of HTC for their hardware divison. But the reason they could have bought the core design team was HTC was already failing with their own phones. So, forgive me if I don't have great confidence in Google's former HTC team :ROFLMAO:
Same, I also can't have great confidence in former HTC team lol

Are we able to purchase off Google US or JP? Or do we need to wait for stocks on Amazon US / JP to buy them? First time importing phone phone from overseas too. Thanks :)

Want to see how fast BKK start selling electric cars ?? Chinese gov not giving as much rebates for smarts phones anymore .. more into AI and chip making .. without those sweet sweet rebate .. chinese brands will give up phone .

haha thanks! I've never shipped mobile phones over before though.. Will there be any additional charges such as the lithium battery restrictions?
not that I know of at least with comgateway that is.

better to wait for Amazon US, direct from store high chance they might decline your card.. or maybe try Revolut ? not sure if it works though.

Thanks, just bought and sent to my comgateway address. I think I'll save maybe $15 compared to ezbuy but considering it's a phone, don't mind paying the extra for the secured shipment.
