Is it true that the camera shutter sound for Japan set cannot be disabled?

Yes, no shutter sound option in camera setting.

Not sure if inserting SG sim, will get that option back. I have not set up yet.

Maybe re-flashing rom downloaded from Google website will remove it ?
I doubt it is a hardware limitation.

I asked a few sellers from shopee and Lazada. They all have a common service center at Geylang. Did you ask this seller in carousell?

All are Japan sets.

No I didn't. I did ask a few when I was looking at 4a 5g... Most say no difference between US and Japan set. I understand all ready stocks locally now are from Japan.

yes in fact seems that all local shops are claiming that.

I asked my seller how it work when it is not launched in SG, they just said it is under google warranty and just send to local google service centre. Anyway i am not expecting any warranty from the beginning so did not probe further.

You bought from monmar tech right?

I think it could be true. CTDI cannot make official announcement.

CTDI already has the experience with Pixel repair. They are probably doing the repair without official ties with Google.

Just my speculation though.

You could be right, anyway warranty is something you hope you no need to use it.

1) export set, cannot send back direct to manufacturer for warranty = local seller/shop warranty
2) export set, can send back direct to manufacturer for warranty = international warranty

If there is a shop warranty and assuming the shop is reputable, I still don't mind though.

Mobyshop has a good reputation. They are giving a 6 months shop warranty.
