From my experience with p3xl, they replaced motherboardBut I was wondering if they really do replace the mobo, or they might replace with a phone?
You can get honor 90 with this price.Has anyone done a mobo replacement at the service centre? Do they really replace? I went and they quoted me 521 with just 1 month warranty
Yup, I escalated to the final support level and they told me there's nothing they can do.Hihi,
Did you hear back from Google Support?
Mine is totally well protected as well.. I'm really disappointed.. and I have no backup cos not enough storage..
I thought I could use it for at least 2yrs.. and agree that China phones can use way longer than that.. have Xiaomi still going strong after 3yrs..
Hi x,
Thank you for writing back to Google Support!
We'd like to inform you that this is the last level of support escalation. We'd like to inform you that the final decision would be taken care of by the authorized service center. As the device is out of warranty, there would be charges applicable and the final estimate would be provided by the service team after inspection.
Please understand, we'd have definitely helped you if there would have been any other option.
Appreciate your patience and cooperation with us!
Please feel free to contact us back if you have any questions or concerns and we'll be there to help.
They quoted me 479 with also 1 month warranty for only MOBO replacement, all else remains the same. The SC staff straight up told me might as well top up to get Pixel 7 or 7a, not worth fixing. But given this experience, why would I still buy Pixel?Has anyone done a mobo replacement at the service centre? Do they really replace? I went and they quoted me 521 with just 1 month warranty
I just got that phone a few days ago, honestly quite impressed with Honor, camera's not bad, screen personally speaking, can rival my Pixel 6. Somemore affordable and free earbuds. You can get honor 90 with this price.
You forgot to backup your phone's data to Google? Try to do so in future.I just got that phone a few days ago, honestly quite impressed with Honor, camera's not bad, screen personally speaking, can rival my Pixel 6. Somemore affordable and free earbuds.Hope this will last me more than 1.5 years.
Thanks to Google, I lost all my data on my Pixel 6, photos, everything.
Auto-backup was initially on, but I guess it turned off cause ran out of storage. You forgot to backup your phone's data to Google? Try to do so in future.

It's not that I don't like, I honestly like my Pixel 6 just that the quality is legit crap, mobo died after 1.5 years, how can like given this experience?

Ya, the svc centre wasn't helpful at all and I didn't want to make a spectacle of myself to flip table, not worth it hahaThey quoted me 479 with also 1 month warranty for only MOBO replacement, all else remains the same. Yup, SC can't help much anyway since they are essentially a third-party. Google Support should be the one to kena sut instead of SC, too bad they've yet to have physical presence in SG.Ya, the svc centre wasn't helpful at all and I didn't want to make a spectacle of myself to flip table, not worth it haha
I found a shop who can do replacement at a much cheaper price and longer warranty.
Me too didn't get backed up due to storage as well.. damn sianz.
Let's hope after replacement can last 6mths?? Haha

As for repairs, I don't plan to fix already since the issue is highly unlikely to be due to the user, so meaning must be some inherent flaw in the device somewhere that we don't know. So I never take the chance and just get another brand.
Good luck to you, hope urs can last long long after repairs![]()
