Actually can i ask why dont u guys order directly from Google US store and use vPost and ship it back to Singapore?

My understanding is as follows, pls correct me if i m wrong:
- when u order and deliver to ur local friend in (US, Canada, Taiwan or etc..) there is a local tax charge from google store or the retailers who sell to u
- when u order direct from google store send to vPost (forwarder service) there is no tax, somehow google knows this is "tourist" therefore no tax is added
- vPost charges from US to SG seems to be rather cheap at around $17 (15% off for 1st time members)
- Sadly, u have to pay SG GST 7%

I believe the above method is cheaper than buying for bigapplebuddy or etc?
Please do share with me if i m missing out on anything, as the above is something that i planned to do once the stock for pixel is back online..

Edit: Reading the specs of the US version pixel, it seems that the US model pixel 6 pro is the only model that has mmWave and Sub6 5g specs? Other countries seems to be either 1 of it.

This should mean that the US model is compatible with SG 5G specs?

Seems like Google's us store automatically cancels any orders shipped to forwarders

That's impressive speed, it took him like 2 days to get it shipped? I recall someone on this thread claiming that the stocks for Australia, Japan etc were stored and shipped from Singapore.. If that's true, a speculation is that he has connections with the the team that hold said stocks hence the expedited delivery.💡
how to get said connections can we grp order from them straight?

The fingerprint reader is very slow and unreliable in the reviews. Huge disappointment!
For slowpoke, it might be lightning fast already

The screen also need to be on before any finger unlock, seem like is optic fingerprint like Oneplus phone instead of ultrasonic like S21 series.

Saw the Taiwan aotters girls YouTube also saying the both phones seem to heat up quite fast. Maybe need another software optimisation update.

Camera quality from MKBHD saying tend to overuse of HDR and not the best compare to iPhone 13 series for its consistency.
Actually I find oneplus optical fingerprint sensor ok for unlocking. Not the best but it does the job. The disappointing part is pixel cannot use selfie cam to unlock which I like to do at home (yes not v secure but optical fingerprint v secure meh :s22:)

The orlang is apple fanboy, so v bias against pixel camera. I see other reviewers say the pixel wins in terms of camera photo for better dynamic range but loses out in video

Actually I think for those who can't be bothered to self import and deal with all the forwarder/gst calculations you can probably get a shopee voucher and order from that taiwan reseller. Probably got $100 off during this coming 11.11 so it's like $1.5k for the 128gb version. Still expensive but IMO not much more compared to if you did all the logistics yourself.

If fingerprint unlock turns out to be true what reviewer said, it will be quite a bummer. I mean just how many times we need to unlock the phone per day.

Hope smth can be do about it.

Most probably can be fixed with a SW update.

Even delivery in Australia now is 31Dec-03Jan2022
Hello. Can i check where did you get this info from? I am currently in Australia and was trying to check out and the expected delivery is 2-5 Nov. I will be in Australia only till 28 Nov so i am quite worried that it might be delivered by then. Additionally, Australia's set no issue working with SG network right? :D

Appreciate any help here! Thanks!

P.S: I don't mind helping anyone buy but need to wait till i am back in early Dec and of course, deposit will be needed,

Doing it yourself is actually quite a bit cheaper.

$599 x 1.34 x 1.07 + $15 (shipping) = $873 SGD.

$873 vs $1500. Big diff.
