Tensor v1 is not optimised to run processes on heavy load (Exynos core ) . adaptive battery optimisation can only improves to certain extend…still have other area such as the LTPO panel and 5G modem sucking up battery life…. this explains on the mediocre battery life mkbhd, mr mobile and David Imel mentioned.

In seriousness, it's a bit disappointing for me also. Still thinking if I should get P6, or wait for S21 FE or maybe even S22, as I prefer physical dual-sim. But willing to forego because of Pixel, the camera, and the regular security updates.

The nexus/pixel line was never intended to sell well. Doubt they even care about the sales. The origin was for developer to use as a reference device.

Their goal is always on AI, machine learning and perhaps your privacy etc, not on AAA grade hardware and win on benchmark war.
So if you appreciate all these then it's for you.

Many own a Pixel because of its unlimited free storage of photos and videos in Google Photos. It's worth it in the long run.
