US pixel 6 pro used with Singtel sim initially and now gomo. No issues at all.

2g enabled too.
Setting is at 5g default although on gomo 4G SIM. Only with gomo need to set apn to hicard or there will be intermittent data. Otherwise all good.

ESim might not be working, better to confirm first if you plan to use it. At least for my previous Pixel 5 failed to register on MyRepublic ESim.

every gen of pixel has it own issues. even other brands too. it's up to you want to bite it or not.

sideloading wouldn't have the updating screen.

Mine is US set too but it was only triggered by inserting any USA SIM card. I happen to have one so it automatically started OTA after I replaced my gomo sim with it.
