My take on 60hz ah. are for 'general' users who are considering to replace their current p2/p3/p3a (non-xl), p4a, p5a (all w/o 90/120hz). with a speedier h/w, these performance improvements + os/security updates will tahan them another 3 years and beyond. 90/120hz display is nice to have, but do they need it? chances are these 'general' users do not care. as long they can text, call, surf, take pretty selfies and binge-watch good enuf liao

Android 13 Beta Now Available on Pixel 6a

Google is rolling out Android 13 Beta 4.1 to the Pixel 6a.

The Beta 4 patch arrived last Monday for all other phones to deliver bug fixes and should be one of the final releases before the consumer launch. Today’s update is just for the Pixel 6a and appends “.A2” to the build number.

You can easily sign-up via the Android Beta Program or by manually sideloading (faster):

agree with this but you-pay-for-you-get right?

same price can get you some china-branded flagship killer phone but not sure how fast their OS update are and buggy (i looking at your XM :s13: )

Of course, y'all can opt for Pixel 6 which on promo now.

Just saying :)

Waiting for pixel 7 le, hopefully it has lesser hardware issue lo

Which in that case p4a users and above can just hold on to their current phone since the improvement is so minute. Camera still good, UX/OS still snappy.

If no need wide-angle/tele, p4a still capture very niceee photos with a regular len. in fact current smartphones are fast enuf for daily tasks, hence need not upgrade every year

no la. to be honest. I think 6A is a deliberate way for Google to entice on-the-fence or new users to have a taste of Tensor and its hot body. Tensor is the star since Pixel 6; the hardware was really just playing catch up.

they probably want to do an Apple and make the ecosystem very “livable”, with almost every component being something “brand-made” or “home-mode”. sort of similar to Samsung, but one you use Android you also know, almost everyone will tell you Google is the “pure” Android.

as late as they are, at least Google is starting it!
