Personally, bought a few of them before. But none of them the oleo coating ever lasted 3 months. Never like it, after which it leaves lots of fp marks all over. I know it’s cheap, and the price for 1 WSD we buy is s$33 could have bought 6 of it. But the oleo coating is really poor.

Been using WSD since s9 era till now. Most of them lasted 8 months or more in terms of oleo coating. Not only the installation is easier as it comes with all the necessity items to make sure chance of failure is Low, it is also more accurate for the glass to be positioned correctly. Unlike china made ones, having to rely heavily on skills to align it properly, I rather not. If glue not handled properly can be a disaster also.

To have a peace of mind, WSD is a lot more convenient and towards full proof considering that the jig and the things they provide are to protect from uv glue sipping into the phone gaps and speaker phones etc.

I had the same belief as you last time and spent so much on WSD and was disappointed. Shall not rant on my experience but I'm sure you get the idea how frustrating it is to find a suitable protector for curve screens.

Now a days oleophoic coating are very good on protectors from china. Take for example ibywind, cheap and long last oleophoic coating. Lasted longer than my ringke ones on my pixel 6.

Anyway if you are ready to put in some money for wsd, why not give taobao oness try? You might be in for a surprise.

Alright. It's time to let go my S22U. It was a long journey as a Samsung user. The pixel 7 pro managed to win me over with a few concerning factors over the s22u.

The UI for stock android is more or less very close to Samsung one UI. Where most of the features that I used in Samsung are found here. Just that I really missed Bixby Routines.

On the other hand, battery mileage for me has been better than my S22U. Things like standby time improved significantly over my S22U. Yesterday was the odd ball, suspecting that adaptive battery kicks in. With moderate usage I was able to maintain 50% left for a full day. Impressive I would say. Just that using the phone during outdoors, the screen really takes up a lot of power. Just like @Vulpix mentioned that android just can't figure the right brightness. That I agree, there are times that when I'm just in building where there is some natural lightings coming in, there is a tendency that the P7p will push brightness level to almost full.

Apart from that, the overall experience that I have gotten from P7p is mainly positive over s22u. I also start to appreciate how GPay works. Samsung Pay is only great due to the points system. But GPay has more to offer including paynow functions.

I was rooting for Google to come out a great phone since Nexus 7 tablet. It is only now 2022 they won me over. Good riddance Samsung.
Thanks for the comparison between these two devices, as I'm contemplating switching from S22U to P7Pro.
