Not sure that it is a paid service or not. All iphone and samsung phone comes with VoLTE and VoWifi enabled. Even an old Samsung Note 8 has it enabled on both Singtel and Starhub network

My wife's Poco F3 comes with VoLTE and VoWifi enabled too on Starhub network.

My Oneplus 7 Pro after the hack VoLTE and VoWifi are enabled on Starhub, Singtel and M1 network.

I tot it is by default to hv both enabled on 4G network which is an old network that will be replaced by 5G in years to come. 3G might be reaching EOL in few years time.
Funny thing is I've never used vowifi all these years. What exactly is that service?

Is it simply that you can call using WiFi connection? Does that count towards your allocated outgoing call minutes?

Understand that VoLTE is supported on the 3 major telcos and TPG/Simba. 5G works as well except for VoNR.

But no one mentions abt VoWifi aka Wifi Calling. Does VoWifi work on the 3 major telcos on 4G sim card and plan? Don't think I'm bother abt 5G and VoNR as 5G network is still “incomplete" in Singapore without full coverage.
Wi-Fi Calling?
Yes, it is available on my P7P + Singtel and P6 + Starhub. I got no M1 so can't check that for you.
In the past, I notice that call may be choppy/voice cut out on some wifi network so I always keep it off ever since.

Also, I don't think our telco support VoNR yet?

If you are at a place with poor cellular signal but has good wifi signal, it can use that instead.

Does it count towards outgoing minutes?

Also does it work for incoming calls as well?

Not sure, but I remembered reading last time that it counts towards your minutes.

It should work both ways. It will auto switch between VoLTE and VoWifi during calls....and that's when you encounter voice cutout...:ROFLMAO:

It will still be counted as your outgoing call time.

When Vowifi is enabled, u can put off your mobile network and left wifi connection and still able to make outgoing/ incoming calls.

Yes it works well when mobile signal is weak but strong wifi signal. Usually when telco enables VoLTE, Vowifi will be enabled too.

Glad to hear that it is working on Starhub and Singtel. Wondering if 4G has been so “old“ and yet Google Pixel failed to work with Singapore local 3 major telcos to enable all the "basic" functions.

Likely the effort vs the no of ppl using the handsets. Population of pixel users too small = too little noise to make the telco bother to make the effort. For Google, SG market too small for them as well.

I chat with the customer service and said I have issues with fingerprint sensor. That's it. Then she arranged for the exchange.
Can I ask what number do you call to chat with the CSO? I searched high and low in Amazon website and app, can't find. Thanks in advance

To one of the member here, I have already bought a pixel 7 for my wife, the reason I am asking in another thread about another phone is because my wife looks like don't like pixel 7 so I am planning to look for another phone for her.
I am sorry if I bother everyone here that I ask a lot of question, and thank you for everyone who helps and guide me.

Haha LOL, you don't have to post here and prove that you bought ur pixel 7 lah. He might just be trolling, though tbh idk why some ppl are so obsessed. I mean yeah, if your qns can easily be googled, shoot once or twice in this thread is understandable. Why must go other thread and shoot again lolol.

(and yeah, probably gonna get flamed for my opinion, but I honestly dont care. I'm just stalking this thread to gather reviews)

I'm not lao jiao but I've been on here for a few years liao so can understand both sides.

I'm actually ok with noob questions just as long as the person is genuinely asking the question and keen on keeping the discussion going smoothly.

For lao jiaos who browse here daily they more particular about forum etiquette to facilitate smooth discussions lah. All the noob questions asked without forethought or doing due diligence will only break up the flow as this is a traditional BBS forum not organised by comment level à la reddit.

Those who are here for a long time liao will make the effort to answer all genuine questions, so seeing questions already answered posted again and again will be irritating to say the least.

I also know it's not easy to skim through threads like this one which can go into hundreds of pages and the search function is limited and irritating to use. So ask away but people might not answer you lah.

For me as I not so helpful will only pick the posts I want to interact with and ignore the rest. :s13:

Sorry if I break the rules or I said wrong anything, I will delete the post.
Actually I don't really know how to use the search function to search the keyword under this thread. Can anyone guide how to search some keyword so I won't ask the same question again? I only see one search icon but when I search the keyword it show me all the keyword and is not on this thread. Thank you for the guidance.

You didn't break any rules don't worry no need to delete.

The search function if you dunno how to use can just click the search icon on the top right, then click "everywhere" next to the search box and choose "this thread".

After typing your keyword it will only return the results from posts in this particular thread.

If you want deeper search you can try to click the "advanced search" slightly below and try playing with the functions.
