Once adaptive battery kicks in the P7's endurance really not bad... Can really feel the difference compared to the first 4-5 days of use.

Yes, dry and wet fingers totally hit and miss.. seems like your fingers need to be flawless to activate finger print reader..

Samsung s22 ultrasonic fingerprint sensor doesn't have this issue. I face this problem only on pixel optical sensor.

Yes the ultrasonic sensor can work for both dry and moist skin. Of course not that kind of wet after washing hands, still must wipe dry.
But after shower or in Aircon room no issues.

Different technology, water refracts light so it distorts the image captured while sounds waves can travel through water more easily and bounce back.
