33mb takes 2hrs.. really jokers
Chill. There’s nothing significant in this update. Not that there are any new features.

In any event, you’re supposed to use the phone as it is while it’s installing the update. The whole point is to reduce downtime.

The problem is sometimes when the phone is on idle, then when you go back to system updates, the update has paused and you need to tap it to resume!

Samsung shutter speed not that fast based on my s22u usage...pixel on the other hand damn fast...just my p7 lose out on that optical telephoto...the digital telephoto not half bad actually...pretty usable to me though 8X🤣
Ya Pixel is better but still not very reliable. The Motion Unblur (?) feature for instance is dependent on AI. Nowadays I just rely on iPhone’s Live Photo, and then manually change the frame to one that’s least blur. Very leh cheh, but at least won’t be stuck with a blur photo.

No need more feature but hope they will go high and low and make the battery last longer. After using so many flagships, this is the phone that I experienced out of juice while out and about.

That's why I first day return liao, don't want say nia becos a lot of hype during preorder.

I see the battery life like that as a starting point I knew it was not for me. It will only get worse as the battery deteriorate, and also you will have more apps then a clean state as you use it.

Hope Google can impress me in the future.

It’s not comparable to iPhone’s because for Top Shot, only 2 or 3 frames will have better resolution. Rest of the frames will have rubbish-grade quality. And the 2 or 3 frames with better resolution is what Google thinks you want but may not be what you want. And Top Shot also doesn’t capture sound. There’s something very different about a photo that moves and captures the sound/audio as it is when the photo was taken.

good to know you have experienced it.

the 2 or 3 frames you mentioned google with make it as HDR shot export.

I hope I am not confuse between photo and video, during the camara photo mode i can long press the shutter button to take shot video with sound too.

after taken the short video and in the Google photo apps gallery, when i select the video and slide up to see the photo properties, I can see the option "Shots in this video" which google will select the best frame similar top shot function of which I can also select specify frame as needed.

I have been using my pixel 7 for 2+ months now, but find that the fingerprint sensor not working well for me. changed a unit at the start but issue persists. Read online and saw many having same issue, pointing to dry fingers or thumb. Looks like I need to moisturize my thumb often :s13: Usually after washing hands, thumb is damp, the sensor works better. If anyone have any other solution please share!

Other than the above, I find the battery is getting better after Jan update. hopefully it gets even better after today's update.

I have turned off smart compose feature, but I still see the smart reply to my telegram notifications, anyone knows how to off that?

Another issue I have with the stock Gboard is sometimes I get auto capitalization but in apps like edmwer or others, there is no auto capitalization. If anyone knows a solution, do share!

Last qn, as there's not much visible stars in sg. I can't try out the astro shot feature, is this a automatic feature if I point and shoot a night sky of stars?

Thanks!:s12:

Thumbs get dry due atmosphere or age, a quick solution is in using our own skin oils to moisturize the thumb/finger print. Like rubbing on the neck just to get some oil on the thumb. :D

How do you turn off Auto-capitalization? In order to disable Android keyboard Auto-capitalization or make other virtual keyboard changes, navigate to Settings > System > Languages and input > Virtual keyboard > Gboard > Text correction > Auto-Capitalization.
