As this phone is using a tensor G2 built by samsung's 4nm process (same as the 8 gen 1 not 8 gen 1+).
I will be a bit concerned about thermal throttling.
They kept the same cpu 'essentially' and bumped up the clocks slightly and changed the gpu to a more powerful one (same as dimensity 9000).
So, essentially, some heat reduced because they went to samsung's 4nm from their 5nm process.
But, heat increased as the clocks are higher and the gpu is more powerful.

For those interested, the gpu component should be slightly more powerful than an apple A14 chip.

That's how Google treat SG market ba, they might think SG not so many demands on Pixel phone lol. Other countries have 512GB variant but in SG only 256GB and it is in obsidian color only.

Touched both phones at Courts Lot 1 yesterday. The normal pixel 7 is probably what I’d get. I prefer smaller phones for easier handling these days. Just hope the battery holds up. That’s my main cocnern

It's not really a dealbreaker unless you don't use case or only use clear case
If resell, black is the easiest colour to sell.

I went from P2XL White to P4XL Orange to P6a Sage and about to P7Pro Hazel...

Black is dull already, white is too. Prefer a clear case with colors nowadays lol

The battery IS concerning without LTPO and smaller than 6.

That is also why I'm going with 7 pro instead, because the constant for both is the Samsung 4nm fab tensor 2 chip so it's better to have more battery and battery saving tech.

Using a oneplus 7T @ 90hz and really without ltpo and battery consumption is really measurable one.

The difference between 60 and 90hz for my 7T is about 10-15% increase in battery consumption which can be about 1 hour of sot lost.

those who're getting the normal 7... pls share photos of the super res zoom at 8x (or 5x) for us to see... thanks I wanna see how a non-telephoto lens phone can actually capture good photos at 8x...

That's what I thought too. Although it also depends how well Google implenented the LTPO this time. I remember this reddit post about this guy who did a lot of tests with the P6P's screen and found out that it didn't throttle below 60hz as much as we hoped. Maybe google will do a better job this time? Who knows.
