I got my first complaint wtf the scrolling, why feels so janky? I thought the 78mb patch supposed to fix it? What's going on with Google?

Before anyone tell me to drop to 60hz, I refuse.

really? I felt the 90hz on my p7 is damn smooth.. smoother than the p6 was..

SG does not have mmwave, it is only the other sub 6 model with slightly more sub 6 bands.

5G Sub-6: Bands n1/2/3/5/7/8/12/14/20/25/28/30/38/40/41/48/66/71/75/76/77/78

Model: GE2AE
5G Sub-6: Bands n1/2/3/5/7/8/12/14/20/25/28/30/38/40/41/48/66/71/77/78

5G mmWave: Bands n257/n258/n260/n261

I think in S22 when I received OTP via SMS, the keyboard will read the 6-digit pin and let me paste it swiftly. But in Pixel, I have to swipe down to view the OTP and key in manually.

Not sure if there's an option in Pixel to automatically copy the OTP to the clipboard
You do NOT want keyboards to do that. Saves you a click but it is a security risk.

Is it just me or does the display panel on the 7 pro feel and sound hollow when you tap it with your fingernails or just tap on it with your fingertips?

Didn't notice it on the demo units, not that there's anything wrong with that but it feels different from flat screen phones.

This not tiles leh... So i dont go knock on the display:s22: u power, like that also can notice

Enable auto fill in settings, mine has no issue

Overall first impression....

Stock Android came a long way. My first Stock Android device was from Nexus 7 tablet made by Asus. It was so stock that i totally missed all my iphones and samsung custom android. It was the ease of use and convenience that Stock android back then was terrible.

My second go was Nexus 6p. With Google beefing up all the specifications in collab with Huawei. I was rooting for a better android experience. Turns out? Well stock android still falls short in many areas where custom android is still better. So back to Samsung devices and occassionally iphones.

Where it fell short?

No Scrolling Screenshot
No VoLTE
NFC sim card doesnt work as i have ez link inside
Google Pay seems restrictive
No dual sim or poor esim support from telcos
Many more things to list.

After which, when samsung keep giving inferior chipset. I felt that it doesnt seems good at all. Overheating, batt drain, poor gpu performance the list goes on.

Pixel 6 was almost the tilting/tipping point for me. But i gave samsung one last redeeming factor as they announced the s22u will come with Sd8g1. Pixel 6 was really this close to make me switch. But the lack of VoLTE on m1 network (at launch) is not possible. And sg wasnt the first country to get the pixel 6. Yet the VoLTE only came much later date which is April 2022. By then S22u was still my last chance. So i bought the s22u.

S22u great phone, great specs, ok software, good customisations. But then it got so expensive till it isnt worth it anymore.

Pixel 7 launched, i was on the fence. Till the review came out i was still on the fence. Till i finally cave in. I decided to give it a try.

A little bit of learning curve. Cause the menus are a bit different. I cant find it anywhere for certain features. With some help from forumers here, i managed to find it.

Took some time to figure things out. But i think i will progress better day by day.

Im also happy with the sustained performance. Despite taking the Tensor chip from Samsung Manufacturing. I was so skeptical. But it was google software that making it look good. It definitely make me feel that performance numbers are nothing. You can go how high also doesnt matter if you are going to hit bottom performance later.

And initial use of the pixel 7 pro. Indeed almost 80% of the things that samsung can do. Pixel can do, infact certain things are better. Glad that i have found a gem.

While ppl prefer stock android is where they do not like the bloatwarez of Samsung and other custom UI.

The rest doesn't matter.

Stock Android back in the Nexus days isn't as bad as you make it out to be.

Quite honestly, those that prefer stock android will not care about what Samsung provided. Or other custom UIs.

your friend didn’t encounter?
The firmware he had was pre-production and didn't have this. I hope this can be fixed via firmware as this just seems like bad optimization since it wasn't like this on an older firmware.

I'm stoked! Despite playing Diablo Immortal for a solid 30mins. I'm still getting solid 60fps. Dips around low 50s when in dungeon. But always at 60fps. Damn solid. Phone obviously is warm. But the sustained performance is superb!

Graphic settings - High, anti aliasing off, shadow and fog mid settings.

Can I ask S22U or P7P warmer when gaming? my S22U warms up really fast when playing Diablo. Am thinking for the past few days whether I should get the P7P
