Under 100% stock settings. After u added the card into gpay, no need to tap anything. While active screen is on, take out / move the phone, screen auto light up ( I am not sure if u guys noticed this behavior, it is without touching the screen at all). It is ready to be scanned as long as phone is unlocked and screen locked or not does not matter.
U r not using an unactivated card or debit card with 0 limit right?

Not really true, it also depends on your ebook app also. I have tried ebook reading on alot of phones, and it runs on 60hz though

60hz is still better than running at 90hz like what the Pixel 7 will do. So will still save power.

Actually I tested using the developer function of displaying the refresh rate on screen. The pixel 7 display doesn't toggle between 60hz and 90hz automatically.

It depends on brightness on screen. U need certain brightness then it will trigger. Low brightness it won't switch to prevent screen flickering. Even ltpo also same. On low brightness, p7 pro still runs at 120hz on youtube

Pixel 6 runs fine with the display tunes down to 60hz depending on content. If google remove it, ok i am skippig pixel 7 le

Precisely, it's not variable refresh rate. You have to manually toggle. I know cos I used my 90hz OnePlus 7t. Unless when it's a ltpo display.

Just tried simplygo this morning. No problem from me. In fact the nfc is more sensitive than my oneplus

To clarify, bro Keyoke is right.
The screen changes to 60hz when I run a YouTube video with more than 50% brightness.
