5g technically should works as should be under same model number except jp and us.

I remember if the phone is not sell by local telco or shop then the 5G is not usable, I might be wrong or the understanding already no longer true. In Australia, 512GB version is cheaper than SG 256GB so I am thinking if I should just import it from there, what say you? Thanks.

Au sets are same model with US. Unless somebody tested it locally and didn't work. Generally they should work here as well for 5G. My older P6P was US model with mmWave and has 5G here on Singtel.

My preferred network type is 5G currently. But I switched to LTE also got same issue.
